Dating for 3.5 years, Bessie (she/her) and Blix (they/them) have been supportive and loving figures in each other's lives during tough times. The two met when Blix was managing their first year of sobriety after a relapse, and knew they were going to be life partners. The two have maintained their love and connection through a family's objection to Blix's proposal, and the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic which hit the couple close to home, as Blix works in the memorial industry and Bessie in nursing homes.

What a lovely couple. So raw and gentle and sincere. I resonate so much with Bessie. I am constantly focused on death and thinking "this might be the last time....." Because I too have experienced a lot of death in my life. BUT I really love how she restructured the narrative of that thought from it being based in anxiety (as mine is) to it being based in groundedness. Wow. That's profound. ❤️

Before she even mentioned death, I felt such a heavy energy from Bessie. It’s like she’s absorbed too much negative energy and it’s weighing her down. I hope she can find whatever she needs to clear that, and bring back some lightness. Sending prayers 🙏🌸
