hey guys! back again with a new keyboard build! i will be building gmk67 by zouya, which i bought from aliexpress for ~$70 cad. i definitely think it's one of the best budget keyboard i've built so far. it comes with a KNOB?!?!, poron dampening pads and gaskets, PC plate, daughter board, and battery with no extra charge!! it also has 3 different connectivity mode via bluetooth, wired (usb-c), and 2.4hz mode. isn't that insane?! it can definitely be more budget if you get different switches/keycaps, like gateron switches or keycaps from amazon/aliexpress. i'm so happy that i was able to build this keyboard i hope you guys enjoy it and let me know what you guys think about it down below. happy new years!! c:

To help most anyone wondering, switch choice won't matter as much with this board if you use all the foams. The layer under the switches tends to normalize the sound of the switch so most switches will sound relatively similar.

This sounds absolutely amazing! I am such a fan of the Akko lavenders, but I recently ordered an Epomaker numpad for work that came with their tactile budgerigar switches and I am completely in love with them! Already planning a full build using those switches.

Just want you to know your video actually inspired me to create one, so I used the same board and foam and used gazzew boba u4t switches with KBDyi Misty Cherry key caps from Ali express! It turned to very lovely

You really spoil us with the sound test!!!! Huhuhuhuhu so satisfying, i could sleep
  • @Vyrophyl
2:17 as always, it depends: Generally, thinner materials absorb higher sounds and thicker materials absorb deeper sounds. If you want to make a keyboard thockier, you use thinner foam, if you want to make it clackier you use thicker foam and poppy sound is somewhere in between.
