I live near the ocean in Japan a little outside Tokyo. I was going for a walk one day near Hayama and recently was really into this album by chance. I went into the contemporary art museum they have there on a whim and strangely enough they had a bunch of drawings and sound sculptures Yoshimura made. There was this metal tube filled with fluid with instructions to lift it up to your ear and listen to it. I thought it was a cool coincidence and this album is very evocative of the area around Hayama.

this is gonna sound weird but this makes me feel less lonely somehow, More like being more comfortable with just myself

This is written in Japanese under the title. A form of sound that is born in the landscape and returns to the landscape.
  • The first track played literally makes me feel like everything is gonna be okay and teleports me back to the innocence childhood of just observing the world around me. Hiroshi's music is such a gem!
  • No matter the song, when we hear the divine melody we are reminded the rest of the world is and will always be here with us. Sometimes it sounds beautiful.

Anyone feel like dusting off their PS Vita after listening to track one ? 🥰

Those long synth chords are like lungs expanding and exhaling. Makes me want to breathe in the sea air.
  • I don't know why, but this album makes me feel like I should be happy with where I am now in my life. I feel like we are pressured too much by people constantly telling us to do things really quickly, and we often forget that life isn't really a race... But this album is like a reminder to me that I should slow down, and take it easier. Beautiful album!

Hiroshi Yoshimura single-handedly fixing my insomnia in the year 2020. 🙏 Sometimes it feels like the end of the world these days, but this music makes that all melt away. Good night to all of you out there, wherever and whenever you might be.

J.S. Bach and Hiroshi Yoshimura are the two great geniuses of music.

Create with your heart and you can't go wrong! Be true to what the universe sends you. When you think about what you're doing, then stop. True music has nothing to do with thoughts. Only emotions. If you're switched on to the right frequencies, then what you create will resonate with those you want to attract and those who are seeking what you create. Everything else is really just transient immaterialism.

This had to be an inspiration for some of the Wii compositions.
