If you’re not familiar, Fred Rogers, or Mr Rogers as most know him, was a man who created national public television as the US knows it. He never talked down to the children and covered topics relevant to the time. And when the acid in swimming pools came up, he specifically put hos feet into a wading pool with one of the black cast members to prove it didn’t hurt anyone.
And while Fred Rogers taught us how to approach everything and everyone with an open heart, Steve Irwin taught us Nature. The magnificent beauty of the planet we live on as well as introducing us to so many animals. Teaching conservation so well that not only his wife, but his children continue his legacy.
It’s harder to hate someone or something you know well. That you understand the motives. Why they do the things they do. Why they need the things they need.
