Today in South Eastern Turkey, I met Sultan Kösen -- AKA THE WORLD'S TALLEST MAN!!!
I first heard about Sultan in 2009, when he was awarded a Guinness World Record title for his astounding height of 251 centimeters, or 8 feet 2 inches -- that's almost 3 feet taller than me!
Even though Sultan is a giant on the outside, I realized that he's incredibly gentle, warm, and friendly on the inside. We were all laughing for the 3 hours we spent together.
This was a very special video to make because Sultan invited us into his house, in a tiny village, where his parents (surprisingly) cooked us breakfast after the interview. It was an amazing experience, and quite an emotional morning after hearing about some of the struggles that Sultan has been through in his life (i.e. needing to get multiple surgeries to stop his growth)... But nowadays, he is as happy as can be!

I love Sultan's personality. It's easy to see that he has his struggles but it looks like he has a positive outlook on life and I hope he enjoys his life for many years to come.

It's sad because people who are too tall or too short don't live very long because of organ growth deformity. He seems like such a good guy. I hope he lives a long, healthy and happy life

I wish him good health and a long life! Sometimes being so far above everyone has it's downsides. I pray he stays healthy and happy. I hope people give him his privacy as well, a lot of people don't realize how difficult it sometimes it can be for him.

Great video I really enjoyed it the other guy abi was so emotional about meeting him and it was so nice when he bought the baglama to play for him I thought that was a beautiful gesture knowing he lives his music it seemed like a wonderful and emotional experience with a warm kind hearted human being we are privileged to see people like this in our time thnk u all ❤

Thank you very much for the video! Sultan seems such a wonderful and down to earth man! Because of his extreme stature and the everyday challenges he encounters, it would be a fantastic gesture and a great way of caring if a house and a car was especially made for him, i.e a house with much more elevated ceilings and doorways, a car with more leg-room, etc. He would love that! This would be a great start to address the fundamental challenges for him. These are just my thoughts. Peace to him and his family! Such a great guy!
