I think that Gigabyte absorbing the Indiana-looking binome's life force can be also a reference to Donovan's death from The Last Crusade (or probably another scene from the movies themselves)

they keep insinuating that bob's armor and 'Solid State' were gambit ref and Solid state electronics... at the time I thought that combine they were a Solid Snake reference as the games were pretty big in the 90's and known for their gadgets and armor...maybe I was wrong
