How can you not root for Jinkx, a genuine, sweet, talented queen, a star!

Who else got choked up when Jericks Dad said "water off a ducks back" 😢💗 I don't recall ever seeing such a wonderfully touching and genuine documentary or should I have said drag umentary. LOL
  • @wvusciguy
Hats off to dad for being so forthcoming about past failings. Hopefully the future is warmer.

Thanks for posting! Jinkx is the best, and ironically her family was brought together by something that tears so many families apart. It's a tribute to their love. Overall I think this is a quite beautiful story of family, chosen or born into.

I was so honored to have my song played at the end of this documentary! I remember when it premiered at a movie theater in Seattle and we got to see the whole documentary on the big screen. I knew Jinkx about a year before they won drag race season 5, it was such a pleasure watching their performances, and how they grew and became more confident in their abilities. Thanks for posting this on YouTube so I can share it with my friends!!!

so amazing. i have been so inspired by jinkx for years. the artistry, immaculate wackery and shining talent is unsurpassed, she could write and outperform all snl. thank you jinkx you beloved human
  • I ❤ that Jinkx is so young, but her drag & references are things that an older Queen would perform. She has been my favorite of all seasons and Jimbo is right there also. I would love to see a Jinkx & Jimbo crazy collaboration.

I can't think of anything more perfect than Jinx passing the crown on to Bianca. Shear perfection.

I'm just passing by to inform everyone who's watching this that as of 2024, this is HERA Hoffer, also known as Jinkx Monsoon, pronouns she/her in AND out of drag 💗💙🤍💗💙🤍
  • What a talented performer. I enjoyed Jinkx on drag race and am so happy for all her success many more to come

Jinx and Raja have always been my favorite, but Jinx has always felt like a friend. Always felt the most natural, the truest person. I hope the greatest of success for her entire career!

What a gift to get to know jinx this well. What we saw of her on drag race was really a miniscule part of her enormous Talent. There's also a sense of comfort in being reminded that to be Human and flawed is okay and can often create amazing things.

1:19:53 Jerick Hoffer's words about the impact of his achievement on his family are remarkable because it is not about being a Drag Queen; it is about his decision to do what he felt like doing, indeed. Everything that has a solid foundation has a positive comeback. My only wish to you, Jerick, please, don’t stick with weed. No matter how fun and relaxing it can be, the outcome is never the one expected. There are ways to manage mental particularities like OCD, Dyslexia, or ADHD. Emotional Intelligence is a great start. Bravo, you are a fine artist ❤
  • I first met jinx from Rupaul dragg race . My wife and i followed him all the way to the end....she is. Awesome .whould love to meet her someday.

Documentary was quite raw in contrast to the “illusion” . Well done. Talent comes in different shapes and forms. I have always enjoyed drag impersonators, the Liza’s, Cher, Carol Channing…..old school. Went to a show back in 2013 and things had evolved to a different level. Was just too nasty for my taste. As a biological woman it amazes me how damn much goes into our effort to present (So to speak). I cannot tell you over the course of my adulthood how damn much $$$$ I have spent on hair, makeup, hosiery, lingerie, nails, clothes, earrings, shoes, purses…….but fashion became a chore, was freeing not to put on my face everyday. Watching this even I became exhausted bc drag is burdensome, it’s celebrity, fame , ridicule, quest to sustain a living (not to mention REAL relationships) it is never ending. Jinx is young, resilient, determined and is very honest about what goes on behind the scenes. I’d like to see another documentary on “the golden years” of retired queens. It’s my understanding that the original screen write for the TV Golden Girls was of gay men but network couldn’t make that fly in society back then. I still watch those reruns!
