I was able to get my Vivo’s for $135, 25% off, by ‘referring a friend’, AKA using my email to refer myself through my other email. Also if you have a student email you can get 15% off as well if for some reason you have issues with referring yourself!

Thanks for this review. Very thorough. I think I’ll have to give them a try, appreciate it.

Great vid as always ! Thank you David !
  • I’ve been wearing inside and outside the gym for 4 months now. You nailed this review. Didn’t miss a thing.

Just found your. Honestly underrated ur camera quality is insane. And u have two different camera angles which is nice. Same with ur lighting

love these shoe reviews, very comprehensive
  • I'm trying all the shoes you recommended and Reebok's can do the trick but still feel better in old skool vans
  • Strongly recommend the primus trail II FG version. Haven’t had any grip issues. I have been pulling and benching in them for ~2 years and I have a positive shin angle while benching. The sole is a bit thicker also so you might not get that roll you mentioned. Great review as always David!

Which brand are your wrist wraps for Deadlift? I think i could benefit from the extra width... thanks!
  • @ColeDano
Have you tried the Merrill Vapor Glove shoes? Similar to Vivo but a much better sole.
  • @Matgarcos
A have the same opinions as you. Can’t find a good shoes for powerlifting manly because I feel kinda instability in my heels with those barefoot shoes. I think it is because those shoes are a bit rounded in the heel. Have you tried Xero Shoes ? And abou the Metal powerlifting shoes ? Thanks for the videos, I did a amazing job reviewing.

look into Gul water shoes, i got them and swapped the elastic laces for actual laces and they have a slightly thicker sole with alot better grip, the pattern on the bottom is similar to the sumo sole notorious lifts
  • Thanks for the review! Got a pair. If we’re optimizing for stability and the minimum distance off the ground via taking soles out, are there any specific powerlifting socks you would recommend? I feel like they could play as much a role as a sole of a shoe does.
  • I assume narrow stance squatters and conventional deadlifters would work better with these shoes?

When u say slippers is that a brand or model or do you actually mean slippers
  • been wanting to bite the bullet on these for a while. I like my reebok TRs or whatever the newest is called, but sumo is still meh because of how much moving around within the shoe happens. Think I'll give em a spin now.
