Captain America is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (cover dated March 1941) from Timely Comics, a predecessor of Marvel Comics. Captain America was designed as a patriotic supersoldier who often fought the Axis powers of World War II and was Timely Comics' most popular character during the wartime period. The popularity of superheroes waned following the war, and the Captain America comic book was discontinued in 1950, with a short-lived revival in 1953. Since Marvel Comics revived the character in 1964, Captain America has remained in publication.

I find Zemo's comment that Steve is the one person that wasn't corrupted by the serum telling. This is a contrast to Tony's quip that everything that is great about Steve comes from "a bottle". Steve really was the conscience behind Captain America.

In the Ultimates Rogers didn’t get all his abilities from the serum, the serum was just the final test. Rogers underwent 6 months of steroids, surgeries, and experimental treatments becoming genetically enhanced before Fury or himself were ever injected with a serum. So, Fury got a serum before Rogers but Rogers was the first Super Soldier.

I would be interested in seeing that video you proposed. I remember that ultimate Nick fury gave Bruce Banner and Henry Pym a sample of his blood with the original serum without telling them it was his. In their attempt to reverse engineer it, they accidentally created the hulk and the hulk wound up killing Richard and Mary Parker, Peter's parents who worked on the project. The main reason why Nick watched over Peter because he owed it to them for his role in their deaths.

Taskmaster's Photographic Reflexes (in the 2010 Unthinkable series) soft retcons his origin to say that he did also get his powers from a Nazi Variant of the SS Serum, but one that focuses on muscle memorization

Nick fury is about 80-85% of what captain america is serum wise. But he Also has tons of military training and is the best spy.
