I was hit by this unexpectedly. It was 4 am, I couldn’t sleep. I got this thumbnail suggested and randomly clicked on it. The opening hooked me hard! I had that moment that all DeadHeads know about. It was as if time stopped and all things came back to Jerry and the boys. As Jerry’s raspy voice calls out with the dog whistle, “Hey Now!” I melted. This is an incredible band, whose impact cannot be summarized. They produce moments in time that seem to sit outside of time. This opening hit me again, 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside, bundled up to the gills, in the woods, and I can’t help but dance to this. Its unbelievable, even in the moment that the Dead hits you, a special wordless feeling. I am not sure anyone will care about my experience here, but I felt compelled to share for some reason. Thank you to whoever uploaded this and to all the DeadHeads perpetuating what they did! For those who don’t understand, I am sorry, for those who do, let it wash over you and enjoy the moment you’ve been given. Jerry, you are greatly missed and yet your impact continues to transgress space and time, music really is a better language! I am so thankful for this music!
  • '87-90 was one long victory lap for the boys....they could play anywhere with anyone and ALL WANTED IN!
  • @arizjones
:ove how Garcia gives Mick Taylor the room to solo and is loving the moment, and then Taylor brings the heat. Nice!
  • @gordoksel
I did this 9 show run, deadheads took over the 5 star hotel bar across the street from the Garden. Also there was a 40 foot inflatable King Kong with a tye dye on top the Garden. EPIC.
  • @TheJdonn
Warms my heart when Brent jumped in for Jerry on the wheel. That’s a friend.
  • Jer Is one of the hardest working musician ever. Your voice is shot ? Any other singer cAncels the show....jerry lights a camel and straps on his velcro sneakers and gets to work !! My man. Great show
  • Iko opener into Stranger! The Dead were a well oiled machine at this point and I'd give anything to go back to those days.
  • This absolutely RIPS!!! worth the price of admission to see Jerry give Mick the over the glasses look when he's playing the West LA riff.
  • @SwampEye1
Mick Taylor learned the Song on the job and ripps straight away a beautiful solo ...
  • @clafong9
Hearing Taylor - one of the greatest blues/rock guitarist ever, play the classic Little Red Rooster with the Dead is a treat.
  • @spearzoid
Great Box! Phil is in the zone, vocally, and he seems a little amazed at it, himself.
  • @mojorayjones
Mick Taylor and Jerry, two rock guitar legends! Rock music wouldn't be the same without their contributions.
  • @98922782
Mick is somehow pulling off the ascot while shredding the blues, unprecedented!
  • @hotchd1
I love how Mick Taylor advances to a second song. It's like he passed the try out and doesn't know it so he takes a bow. Then Jerry's like "stick around kid that was good".
  • @surfnOB
Mick Taylor and Jerry Garcia, ridiculous. The show was for a good cause, it was a fun night at MSG. Wetlands after party was a blast!
  • I miss jerry garcia ever scinse he died to me that was hard news to take. but we still have his music and the gratefull deads music to listen to till the end of time. ....
