I remember seeing a Mexican guy on TikTok guess his ancestry results. He guessed that he was a mestizo (half white/half native) but then his results came back and it was 98% Spanish and 2% Middle East😂 I just thought it was hilarious that he thought he was mestizo when he straight up looked like this:👱🏻‍♂️

Latinos are a mix of parts from all over the world. I am Mexican and took this DNA test which showed the following: 50% Europe, 10% African, and 40% Indigenous Americas (Mexico). Point of the story, Latinos are one of the most diverse ethnic groups in the planet.

The surprise to European numbers being high is very funny. Spain is in Europe. They dont speak Spanish by accident.

As a Latina I was so embarrassed watching this 😭 WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT YOU HAVE EUROPEAN, NATIVE AMERICAN, AND AFRICAN ANCESTRY?? When that guy said, "I expect to see 100% Dominican," my eyes rolled so far back I saw my brain.

From Guatemala here my results- Native American: 73% Broadly East Asian and Native American: 2.5% Spanish and Portuguese: 9% Broadly southern European: 3% Sub Saharan African: 5% Unassigned: 6.3%

Basically Latinos are European, sub Saharan African,and Native American. The mix of the three depends on what part of Latin America your from.

Do latinos realise that it's not an ethnicity/race. It's a cultural term. Some latinos are just only white, some are black, some are mixed with native etc. For example, Lele Pons is white lol. She most likely only have European ancestry.😂

The only explanation I could find of why some of them didn’t know that they had European blood, is because they lived almost their whole life in the United States. I mean, when you study and grow up in a Hispanic school, Colonization and all those topics are almost the most relevant thing that they teach you in History, in Latin America. If you lived in United States, of course they are not going to teach you a lot about it, it should be more about the colonization that happened here (United States). It’s the only explanation that I would find 🤷🏻‍♀️ But of course, you SHOULD know the history of the country where your parents are, and in some cases, where you born🤦🏻‍♀️
