Mya Reveals Why She Disappeared From Spotlight & Talks Jay Z Affair Rumors

The iconic 90’s R&B singer Mya is breaking her silence on her sudden disappearance from the spotlight and those longstanding rumors about her alleged affair with Jay Z.

Mya decided to shut down all the wild narratives that have been attached to her name and she also spoke about the dark side of the entertainment industry and how you can get bl@ckballed for having morals and principles.

And while Mya kept it classy as always and didn’t trash anyone, fans understood loud and clear the message behind her words and they’re saying the only reason Mya is not the huge superstar she deserves to be is because she refused to sell her soul and join the ranks of the industry gatekeepers…

But what exactly did Mya reveal about her disappearance from the spotlight? Was she really bl@ckballed for refusing to bow down to certain industry figures??

Let’s get into it!

On a side note, would love for Mya to star in a biopic for Sade.

I believe Mya. More celebrities need to take a stand and call these industry bullies out.

I opened for Mya when I was a teenager and she came to perform in Tucson, AZ she was one of the kindest artist I have ever opened for besides black eyed peas. Mya let us come on to her tour bus and say hi and she was so down to earth and humble. I love you Mya, I will always remember you as nothing but kind and genuine ❤ actions speak louder than words! TRUTH WILL PREVAIL

As a community we should stop making fun of celebrities who “fell off”. We really don’t know what goes on in their industry and what boundaries they were unwilling to cross to get to the so called top. I applaud anyone who stands on their morals and don’t bow down to darkness.

Mya speaking in codes, choosing her words carefully. She didn’t say much but said enough. I knew what she was saying

She said no no no to Jay z n Pdiddy FO ,well done Mya 🙌🙏
  • She's always been one of my favorites in the industry! She shows us that while there are trade offs for not "drinking the Hollywood Kool-aid", nothing beats having peace of mind and being able to look yourself in the mirror! Much respect to her! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

I just saw her last week in concert and she looks amazing, vocals still on point, and just a beautiful soul all around.

I totally respect this Queen for not selling her soul!

I always wondered what happened to Mya - her music was off the hook!! Thank you Mya for sharing this and being super classy whilst you have. You are a true inspiration to those who also ALWAYS CHOOSE THEIR INTEGRITY and spiritual mindset over everything else. The power plays you speak off happen in many industries, and I often try to understand why some people are perceived to be greater than others when clearly the talent is the other way round. Always stay true to yourself instead of selling your soul. So pleased to hear you've got your own mgmt company now. ROCK ON GIRL!! It dedinately doesn't matter if it took you 7 years over someone who took 1 year as you held on to yoir principles, values and morals which is worth so much more than anything else the likes of Jayz and Beyonce have. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Mya was awesome in her (and my) day. I met her before a show and she was awesome. I was working at a state fair, I helped with her limo and she tipped me 100 bucks. She always has a spot in my 2000s heart!
  • @mstheballer1015
I respect her for having boundaries, respect for herself, and morals!! Mya was not about to sell her soul or sleep her way through the industry! And thats why they was MAD!!
  • @RCBLAZING
She is not the only one who was blackballed. Look at Blu Catrell, Amer, and Kelly Rowland.
  • @kk-xi8li
Wow. She looks exactly the same! Aging so beautifully
  • @angelsgiftstudio
Same thing happened to Rihanna. Rihanna was on the rise and all of a sudden. She started slowing down and next thing you know, she was smart and left record label Jay-Z's label and started doing her own thing. Savage fendy fashion.
