Ah, I love the Nomad. The external cargo design works well with vehicles because in any other ship, access to the cargo bay usually means access to the cockpit, and if you leave it open someone can steal your ship (because people are assholes). So you'd have to open the cargo doors, get in the vehicle, drive out, get out of the vehicle, close the garage door, and then get back in your vehicle since there's no way to do that remotely from inside a vehicle at this point. And then of course coming back you have to repeat that whole process. BTW, I usually install a Burst Quantum Drive instead of an Atlas. It's a little bit faster, and the larger fuel tank compensates for the lower efficiency.

I hope that they will bring out a larger ship with an inclosed cargo hold to hide what you are carrying and bigger engines for extra speed.

Love my Nomad. Best ship I own next to my MSR. I upgraded the shields, QT drive, coolers to military grade 3 and replaced the chin laser repeater with a ballistic cannon because the verse can be a dangerous place =P

I got the NOmad on sale as my pledge vehicle and love it. I followed your recommends to get it initially upgraded while I learn the game. I logged in after a while and had had 400000 credits probably from a wipe refund so I had plenty of credits to upgrade. Thinking about doing the guns too. I haven't found where I can see all the stats for my ship yet

So followed your guide, system keeps overheating after fitting new coolers and guns. Died outside Orison because I simply couldn't regain control long enough to land 😭🤣

My nomad started overheating after installing the coolers :o was there any changes or something? I installed everything in the video except the powerplant and the last 2 shields

Does cargo ever fall out of the external cargo tray during flight? Is it secured there somehow?

The system overheats if you buy and install everything in the order this vid specifies. Go for the power plant first. If you happen to run into an overheating system when following this vid, turn off your shields.

What about the misc slot? ?Flare?

just got nomad, replaced the QT drive with atlas and now for some reason cannot do QT drive, it says no power lol....

When you just gathered the components then your ship randomly explodes 😐
