Yeah. I think the one that always got me though is how much Yveltal looks like Avion from Shadow of the Colossus. The tail shape is almost identical, and similar choices were made for the structure of Yveltal's wings and body. Both of them are based on Vedrfolnir, but there is not a single depiction of Vedrfolnir with any of those features they have in common. So Game Freak had to have taken inspiration from Avion but I've never seen anyone mention it. Similar to how they somehow coincidentally made Looker look exactly like David Tennant's Doctor Who rather than the Japanese detective character he was actually based on

zamazenta's shield seems really impractical because of how its actually behind his face making it so he has a very obvious weak spot for being something so defensive

I love it when creators add nods to other peoples work in their stuff. Just like you can spot characters from other Anime in crowds and stuff.

It's almost like pokemon are based on actual creatures, myths, and legends... just like other games do with their characters.
