Leila (she/her) and Celeste (she/her) have been together for eight months, and in those eight months have dealt with some heavy things, specifically the reactions Celeste's family had to her relationship with Leila. Through that reaction, as well as other things life have thrown at the women, the two have remained supportive, loving, and openly communicative -- causing Celeste to speak up about how she loves Leila and how it has changed since she came out.

“You keep me sane and make me safe when everything is a hot mess.“ How life-affirming and uplifting to see such beautiful, enchanting, thoughtful and wonderful women on International Women’s Day. They carry the wisdom of the ocean in their hearts. I really hope that one day Leila’s parents will accept her, but if they don’t, acquiring a “chosen family” is one of the best things about being LGBT+.

This channel never fails to make me cry. It's sad when people feel obligated to live up to other people's expectations. Glade she's out and loving her girlfriend. She shouldn't feel the weight of the world for simply being who she is and who she loves. What a beautiful couple.

Seeing the mix of love and pain in both their eyes is kinda sad. I understand completely what she says about feeling like carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. I wish LGBTQ couples could have their love lives as easily that we straight people do (we have our own burdens though). I hope they do everything possible to not allow their love to become a trauma bond because of what they've endured and that they are happy--out as hell and happy as hell.
