clicking this video thinking "hm i don't have any book crushes, makes sense since I don't really read a lot of romance" and then immediately seeing Pennywise absolutely killed me. I guess I should just be more imaginative, anyone can be a book boyfriend if you're not a coward

I genuinely expected Aragorn to be in the 80+ tier 🤣

We're all just lab rats in Emma's literary experiments, aren't we? lol

They way I called it to be Captain Hook. Gurl. I screeched. I literally had a crush on Captain Hook from the 2003 movie. Has it all. Dark hair, ruffles, money, crime. sad boy vibes. scars. Pirate. Swords. unhinged bad boy with a sould. Needs therapy. snazy clothes. What else does a girl want
  • Aragorn being that low on the list is just the worst crime ever committed in booktube history. That man is flawless. He will cut an orc's head off and write you poetry in a matter of seconds. Also, Viggo Mortensen, hello???? How can you possibly resist THAT?? (sorry, I don't know if you can notice, but I love Aragorn ❤😂)

the thing with Sirius and Remus is that the fandom does A LOT of the heavy lifting
  • Mr. D'arcy being no. 1 in top book crushes list just restored all my faith at women's choice in man. Like I get it we are attracted to toxic or weird man in books but I love that at the end of the day it's Mr. Darcy and a life of peace and joy at pemberly. I think why he is no. 1 is not precisely because of his character being witty but because his persona is entirely out of female gaze. It's the fact that he is rich tall and handsome who is broody at the beginning with people being a little afraid to talk with him but then he falls in love with a girl in 18th century purely because of her wit even when everyone is telling him that she is plain and poor (not of his social ranking). He confesses it to her and understands why he got rejected rather than taking it as a hurt to his ego (which is so rare like he did not even think in his wildest dream that a poor girl will reject him and that will make him want her more) he revaluates his entire perception and the actions that got born out of it and silently redempts himself without anything in return just for HER. I mean he says things like 'I will not return the sentiments that were so disgusting to you', 'One word from you will silence me forever', 'I love you most ardently' and the QUOTE of all quotes 'You have bewitched me body and soul and I love, I love , I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on' (I know it's just in the movie and idc). The hand flex scene, Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen are the added charm to this already soul devastating character. I can write a whole essay on why he is the ideal man.

I lost it at "period piece papas." 😂 OUAT Captain Hook...yes. My top book crushes are probably Darcy and Aragorn.

Mr. Darcy is wonderful because everything he did to change himself wasn’t to win over Elizabeth, it was purely cuz he realized she was right and wanted to change. He was like I’m cool if you never wanna speak to me again, I’m still gonna fix what I did. That’s what makes him god tier!

Came here for Gilbert Blythe, was not disappointed 😄
  • @ghoulhag
Accurate Darcy is my sleep paralysis demon.
  • @abrarhw
The fact that Jane Austin does not describe her characters is what makes them likable because readers can create the physical appearance that they want for each character.

Emma I am 75 years old and you had me laughing out loud several times! This was so fun. I’ve enjoyed watching you for along time. My wish is that you would read Robin Hobb. Keep up the good work. You are very creative. Patricia

Will and Jem are actually from The Infernal Devices which in my opinion is much better than The Mortal Instruments. You should definitely do a reading vlog for this series, it's great!
  • @luckyamy836
I think it speaks to the accuracy of your data, that when you showed captain hook I immediately went 'yeah I would' 😅

Someone voting for Moby Dick, the actual whale, is wild. Thanks for the good laugh, I needed that. 😂
