I still can’t believe it’s Johnny Depp, the way he can transform into a character is insane.

I never properly appreciated this character as a child but Depp’s Wonka is hilarious.

I still find it astonishing that this is Johnny Depp. He went from an awkward, drunk and slightly suave pirate, to an eccentric, loner chocolate factory owner, and than back to the pirate in a span of 3 years
  • As a kid, “Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory” was a fun movie with a delightful Mr. Wonka who loves kids and takes them to his magical factory. As an adult, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” is a dark-ass comedy about a slightly-crazy dude who secretly hates kids and idiots, and brilliantly trolls a group of awful children and their parents while he holds them hostage in his torture-town. I LOVE it.

He is a mixture of passive-aggressive ness, direct ness and social awkwardness.

I love the creepiness and social awkwardness portrayed by Depp 🤣🤣 it's magnificent acting

johnny depp is honestly one of the most dynamic actors ive ever seen. he becomes all of his characters so well, and it's genuinely hard to believe that they're all the same person... like look at willy wonka next to sweeney todd, mad hatter, jack sparrow and ichabod crane

As a child I never understood how this movie was good. Now as an adult I appreciate the sarcasm and bluntness from Willy Wonka. It just hit me that Gene Wilder also had a sarcastic tone in the movie as well which I love even more.
  • This version was actually closer to the book than the original movie

The fact that this guy is Jack Sparrow is absolutely mind blowing. Johnny is one true talented actor.
