"Of all the creatures in the vastness of the universe, there is none like me. I was present at the birth of the universe, and I shall be there at its end. Though I ravage worlds to live, I bear no malice toward any living thing. I simply do what I must to survive. And why must Galactus survive? For, no matter how many worlds I devour... How many civilizations I destroy... It is my destiny to one day give back to the universe– infinitely more than I have ever taken from it. So speaks Galactus!" -Galactus

The legend of Galactus is perhaps the most well known myth throughout the vastness of the Marvel cosmos. Reports detail a colossal world ender who was once a regular mortal in an era long before our own. Technically, he is the most ancient thing in the universe, and his power is unrivaled. When he sets his sights upon your planet, the battle is already lost. He will arrive from the stars and dismantle your entire biosphere for sustenance, absorbing the surrounding layers of rock and atmosphere afterwards like a glutton licking his plate. He acts with impunity- without order, reason, or biases- but could there be more than meets the eye when it comes to this tale of cosmic destruction? What's the real reason behind it all? What exactly is it that drives Galactus to keep on living? What would it take to kill him? And what might be the consequences of such a drastic decision? You might be surprised. Tyler is here to make the case that Galactus might be doing more good than you realize. But it's going to take some serious analysis before we can say anything for sure!

I think it’s safe to say that imaginary axis prefers quality over quantity.... and I’m ok with that 👍

"Their minds project upon him an image they can comprehend" Galactus: Nooooo I'm a universal level threat, take me seriously! Humanity: Haha big man wear hat
  • @lazytime3126
what's scary about Galactus is that he isn't a villian, he's a Force of Nature
  • @rrg.r2456
Galactus is the living embodiment of "just because you are a bad guy, doesn't mean you are a bad guy."

HE'S BACK BOYS, THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

"[Galactus does not have] a proper physical form" Wait, you're telling me he CHOOSES to wear the helmet?
  • Galactus isn't too strong, I was able to solo him with a lawyer and take him to court to persecute him under the law in UMVC3.

I’d love to see Galactus written more as a cosmic horror. I wanna see his incomprehensible nature properly depicted, and the heroes reaction to it. Something like a Cthulhu story from lovecraft lol

I haven’t seen an imaginary axis video in forever

One of Galactus’ powers: “Capable of believing it’s not butter”

"Questionable taste in headgear," no Tyler, no. His headgear is but a glimmer, a shadowy silhouette of a hat that transcends universes and is so far beyond your comprehension you instinctively judge what can perceive as ugly, disgusted as you are by your own limited haberdashery experience.

Imaginary Axis "Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time"

I really enjoy these videos that go into how the universe works. Guys like Galactis and Darkseid don't get enough credit for how awesome they really are.

Galactus: Exists Ghost rider: I'm about to end this man's whole carrier
  • "Every living being percieves him differently in accodance with their culture, instincts or superstition", so everyone in the Marvel Universe instictively knows that Jack Kirby is their god, that seems... adequate.
  • There was a time in the comics where Galactus was hungry and a kid offered him a Twinkie to satiate his hunger

2:53 - Meanwhile, Donny Cates: "Actually, it's all a lie. He's just the rogue herald of another cosmic entity that consumes universes". Then has said cosmic entity destroyed when Thor turns Galactus into a bomb. Nothing's more irksome than to have a guy who thinks the best way to retcon a character's history and backstory, because it might contradictory whatever ideas they may have, is to say "it's all a lie".
