These two Minecraft Mud Farm and Minecraft Clay Farm Designs are simple. One is Manual and one is Semi Automatic! Choose your Favourite!

In today's Minecraft 1.19 Farm Video, with Avomance, I am giving you two Minecraft Mud Clay Farm designs (they can both be either a Mud Farm or a Clay Farm - Or Both!) that are really easy to build in your Minecraft 1.19 Survival World!

I show you how to make a Mud Farm in Minecraft which is also how to make a clay farm in Minecraft without lots of complicated Redstone!

These farms work perfectly in both Bedrock Edition and Java Edition and I show you Block by Block how to make them!

The first is a total doddle, and the second is just as easy but takes quite a lot of Iron... but DON'T PANIC!
You can get LOADS of Iron by using this Best Minecraft Iron Farm (only works in Java Edition, sorry):

  • Thanks Avo, I built one of the simple mud farms, and another next to it for clay farming. At last I have a use for all those chests of dirt I've been hoarding. My friends laughed at me for saving it, but now I am the MUD KING!
  • @atomicsnarl
If the simple manual 8x8 block mud farm is under two blocks of water, you can refill the bottle (only one needed) as you go along converting the dirt into mud, and not drown as you go.

Nice little farm Avo, although I prefer the automatic ones that feed the mud/clay to a blast chamber. Tip for filling lots of water bottles. Place a hopper into the top chest. Enclose a water source on the hopper, stand above the water and fill the bottles Or, have a water stream flowing into the hopper. In both cases fill all your inventory slots with anything but water bottles (optional but you'll pick up full water bottles). Fill the bottles, be sure to position yourself so that the full water bottles land in the water block or stream when they are dropped (full inventory causes this), to be collected by the hopper. This method is great for brewing systems. Keep up the good work.
  • "I dont´t do complicated!" - that right there is why you are my first adress when looking for farm tutorials! Thanks for many a good looking and easily doable farm!
  • finally got around to building the automatic mud farm, months after finishing the manual farms. (I get easily distracted). Built in Bedrock console 1.19, a nice addition to the simple farms. Thanks very much, Avo.
  • @jeove_DL
Hi Avo...its Jeove... these are really great alternatives to the fully auto farms. well done! :)
  • @FringeWizard2
You have a voice like you should be narrating a nature documentary set in Australia.
  • @DippyBlether
Nice one!! You might want to put a stone floor underneath the first farm so you can use an efficiency shovel to dig up your mud. 😉
  • Find a nice bit of seaside and build a conduit power assembly in water that's about 10 blocks deep. Then place say, a 16 x 8 rectangle of dirt on the sea bed and alternately click to fill your bottle and click to convert each dirt block to mud. Then another layer on top of the first and so on for 8 layers. Only 1 bottle needed, conduit deals with breathing and vision, no issue with dirt converting to grass block, and instamining a 16 stack pile of mud in one go with a high efficiency shovel is a lot quicker than digging up a few blocks every so often. I get 16 stacks of mud in about an hour's gameplay without breaking into a sweat.
  • @Icwalking
Mud,mud glorious mud. As always, a super simple tutorial to follow. Love the simple tip with the stairs in the water source. Genius!
  • @ottaluna8509
Thanks, this was exactly what I wanted...simple. Perfect for starting out; I spawned near a Mangrove in my new world and wanted an easy way to change the mud to clay, so thanks!
  • @BraveRock
Having a list of the ingredients instead of having a picture is a nice touch! Much easier to read
  • Built the manual farm in a single line so to easily dig out the clay. Unfortunately, the mud is remaining mud and not converting to clay. To make clay, you must have two layers.. The top layer goes to clay rather quickly.
  • @ladyadira9541
I like how you put the list of items needed instead of just a picture of what is needed. Much easier to see what I need when I build this.🙂
  • @iColinCDN
Great farm tutorial, clear as mud ... oh yeah, Hello 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
  • @amyduncancinder
WOW! Will my son be so proud of me when I build this for him! This is absolutely AWESOME and (with any of your iron farms) they both seem easy enough...even for me! Thank you, Mr. Avo! I truly appreciate this (and all your tutorials)!
  • @MegulanM
I wouldnt say expensive method is too good but using it I ubgraded it so now mine has auto waterbottles refil so its resycling old bottles back to machine so now only thing u need to do is just place blocks and dig I also added few more things so ty for isnpiring me XD
  • @DHBat
You sold me on the second one. Not just because I’m lazy but because I like the neatness of it.
  • @InimitableMrG
SO on point. I was just planning to look up how to make a clay farm (BRICKS!) and what to my wondering eyes do appear but an Avomance Mud and Clay farm. You are the best!
