Gears 5 Is So Damn Good... (Xbox One + PC Review)

As a ps4 player I’m so hyped to play this Xbox deserves some good games :)

11:15 tbh I'm glad that the open world is rather empty, instead of going the ubisoft way of letting you collect 1000 dogtag/flowers/feathers etc

I never stopped playing gears of war ever since I first played it in 2007

Thanks for bringing up the accessibility options, MS has been giving players more options to play instead of the "games are too hard" comment some journalists keep spouting

3 player splitscreen? That insane! I can aprecciate more couch coop moments with my brothers.

Irrelevant to the game but relevant to Microsoft. My girlfriend went to Gamescom in a wheelchair a few weeks back and she had a really good experience there with the Xbox staff as soon as they noticed her coming in the direction of the booth they were super helpful and friendly and she was able to play the game she'd wanted to try out. I've personally never played any of the Gears games as they are not my cup of tea but i do think that Microsoft deserves commendations for going the extra mile when it comes to accessibility for people with disabilities or impairments.

now take gears of war combat and facial animations and make a new mass effect game

Gears is and remains THE cover shooter. Not a shooter with cover mechanics tacked on but an honest to god action game developed around its core mechanics.

Day 1 PC player here. Had 0 issues! I was able to run this on 2560x1440, high settings with a GTX 970 and 8GB of RAM. I was VERY pleasantly surprised.

As someone who spent hundreds of hours in Gears 4 multiplayer, I can safely say the microtransactions are not all that intrusive. I was able to get all the skins I wanted without spending a dollar and it gave me long term things to chase while enjoying the amazing gameplay in the short term. Don't skip this one!
