When you realize that canonically, Edd was a big reason why Tom and Tord stopped being friends(in the show)- You can find evidence of this in a few of the VERY old episodes. One of them being an Eddsworld version of A Christmas Carol where one of the spirits showed a present/future (don’t exactly remember which-) where Edd had never met Matt, Tom, or Tord, where it’s shown that Tom and Tord would’ve produced…inappropriate films together if they hadn’t met Edd. And another earlier Eddisode (I don’t remember which), it was revealed that Edd would pull a bunch of pranks (both minor and over-the-top pranks) on one and then blame it on the other and start a fight between them.
