How to play fingerstyle or finger picking guitar lesson part 9. How to play the tune by Sad Fantasy 'the troubled heart' a tune that you can only learn through the GCH Guitar Academy. Fingerpicking style guitar is used in virtually all styles of music and therefore is really useful to learn. Whilst fingerpicking guitar is most associated with acoustic guitar you don't need to learn fingerpicking guitar on an acoustic guitar as it can sound just as good on an electric guitar. Fingerstyle guitar is used in classical guitar, folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, jazz and virtually any style of guitar you can mention.
This is a series of carefully designed progressive lessons that will carry you through from an absolute beginner on the guitar to a good level of proficiency in fingerstyle guitar. The GCH Guitar Academy guitar lessons are published to YouTube on a weekly basis just as if you were having private lessons but with the advantage of having the guitar lessons exactly when and where you want them. This gives you time to practise the lessons on your guitar between lessons so that you get the most from each guitar tutorial and achieve your goals as a guitar player.
You will need some basic knowledge of guitar chords to do this course and basic knowledge of how to read guitar tablature so therefore I recommend you view the following 2 videos before starting on this guitar course.

Watched the video, then spent 9a lot of) time practicing playing from the TAB music to get my fingers and head around it, now working back with the video again. Not fast and not smooth but I actually recognize your lovely tune in what I play, long way to go yet but many thanks. Many have said it but your teaching method works well. Will start the next lesson whilst polishing this off.
