My aunt is singing lead towards the end of the song. This is the church where we grew up in Harlem.
-
My dad suffered Alzheimer. He was always looking for my mother who passed away 3 years before him. Played this one at his funeral. Always gets to me.
-
This song always pops in my head when I can't find something in my house.
-
It’s 2020 and wow the world needs to see this more than ever.
-
I love the transition where Bono and the Edge just stop playing and just let the choir sing.
-
Seeing this video again after 30 years and it still gives me goosebumps.

I have struggled with PTSD since I was attacked years ago. I escaped, but it stays with me. When I am pushed to the edge, when I wake at night, when I struggle, this song: this song, these singers pull me back, bring me home, save me. Again and again, they have saved me, reminded me it's ok, the beauty is there. I will keep looking .

I don’t go to Church but I’d love to visit this one. They’re voices are like Angels singing!!!

I came across this video last year while poking around for covers of this song. It brings me to tears every time I watch.

That woman's voice is insanely good Out of this world

The choir was fabulous. Sent shivers down my spine and gave me goosebump arms! True indicator of great music for me.
-
Still watching this timeless masterpiece in January 2020.
-
You've got to recognize musical magic, when it happens. Glad this was filmed.
-
The Choir added the essential Spirit and Soul to this song. Powerful video. It is one of my favorites. I still have the cassette tape that I purchased when this song first came out. It is Timeless.
-
I actually do love this version over the original and that one is a masterpiece. this took it to the next level
-
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what unity looks like, with music as the uniting force. 'Nuff said.
-
I believe in a kingdom come, where all the colors will bleed into one, but yes I'm still running.
-
Who’s still watching this in 2019!

U2 was originally a christian rock band, and were often criticised for this in the early years. The imprint of the USA black gospel tradition is found all over their lyrics, from 'Streets With No Name' to 'Stuck In A Moment'. Similarly with other great Irish artists: Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher, et al.

I remember Bono saying in an interview after this film that he watched this part with a bit of embarrassment.....as he was hungover at the time. Blimey.....i wish i could belt out a tune like that hungover. It is a truly beautiful piece of music and film work. Over 30 years old and still lifts people up today in 2019 and will do beyond.....
