half my siege experience has been sitting in the menu trying to convince myself next game will be better
  • I always get stuck on mechanics and I feel like that limits my potential a LOT. This video is a great reminder of that. I hesitate to take gunfights when I should because I know I have subpar mechanics, and it's a self-fulfilling prophecy that leaks into much of my gameplay even outside of aiming sometimes. It's hard to drill into myself that no matter how flashy my opponent's flicking and tracking is, that stuff won't matter as much if I can turn gunfights in my favor through better positioning, utility usage, coordination, etc.

Sometimes my friend and I no-brain, jump down the stupidest hatch and make a successful push. I feel like sometimes the confidence of "this plan is stupid but they won't see it coming" just works.
  • Definitely a mix of the guntism and coming from tarkov but overcomplicating everything was and still is a bit of my biggest problem. I got too into the tactics when in reality my team just rushed and is waiting for my dumbass to plant cause i happen to have the defuser. I'd add one more, go with the flow of the round.. if you see a lot of your team roaming, bring rook to help them out, or if you see your attacking team play super slow try to help out with an entry op.. 10/10 video as always G!

So glad someone else can explain how comfort ops aren't the best I've lost so many ranked games because a have a random who mains caveria and Amaru every round and the game feels like a straight 4v5.

I was new in early 2020, my friends are 2015-late 2016 players. I was getting yelled at the first week I played with them. Don’t play much now but I wish I was yelled at more

The best way I learned maps in 2019 when I started playing, me and a friend from high school played Hide and Seek in custom matches. Super easy, just have the attacker as a hider, defense as seeker, that way the hider is not spotted for being outside. Make them look in a corner and take their headset off. Literally so fun
  • “Siege is a game of resource management” is the most important phrase this community will never understand. Amazing way to put it.

My buddy just started playing siege last season and started streaming his grind. Just sent him this vid. I’ve been playing since the beta and EVERYTHING said in this vid is so spot on. I told him he needs to watch this video and others on your channel. Great work.

Been watching you for years, you basically taught me how to play this game. Love all your content and this video has extremely valid and solid advice. Keep doing great things.

Another tip would be if you have defuser on defense and the time left is 10/15 seconds for the attackers in a 1v1. Don’t try to be the a kill hungry player and hunt the attacker down. Run that clock out. You’d be surprised how many more rounds you’ll win that way.
  • @HolyR6.
I really liked the recap at the end!
  • Coach Greg giving us the pep talk in this one ^<^ ( I rlly needed to hear that first tip *Praying emoji*)

The thing I see most often from players Plat and below (generally Ems are starting to kick the habit) is paralysis by analysis. They seem too in their own head to take map control early, take a gunfight when the round dynamics kinda necessitate it, or for some reason don't seem to understand when plan 1 fails, you have to immediately either start going for plan 2 or think of plan 2 pretty quick. The amount of times I've seen someone get bandit tricked 50 seconds into a round and then seem like they forgot how to attack altogether for the remaining few minutes is kinda mindboggling. While Siege is a tac shooter, getting in your own head to the point of accidentally nerfing yourself isn't helpful and is probably less fun for you as well.

When i started playing I'd always play twitch on attack and always end up having to clutch as the last one alive because i took so long to get in. That was then exacerbated by trying to be super careful around every corner, seriously suffering from gunfight fear. I decided for a week or two I'd play super bloodthirsty to get that fear out of me. Play Ash, breach charge a window while gadgetting another for a synchronized explosion for the 5050, but then just JUMP IN and start shooting, hoping for the best. Turns out that got me a whole lot more wins because it was just better paced with my squad who also tended to go in quickly, and I didn't just get pixel peeked to death like I thought I would. Now I'm back to playing twitch, but I make a whole lot more active plays while my team is still alive. Definitely feel the difference now that I'm not so afraid of finding an enemy as I walk the map.

If your w/l is higher than your k/d, it's all Gucci. That's what I play this game by.
