France is facing gridlock in its parliament, and its incumbent Prime Minister is resigning, capping off a dramatic election day. The first-round votes had the far-right National Rally party on track to win a majority – but, with a high voter turnout, it was delivered a blow by a galvanised opposition from left-wing and centrist candidates.

There could be further delays in a ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza after Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued what’s described as ‘non-negotiable’ demands, including that Israel can resume fighting until its war aims are met.

A powerful hurricane that has cut a deadly path through parts of Mexico and the Caribbean is now approaching the U.S. coastline. Hurricane Beryl is forecast to make landfall in southern Texas as at least a Category 1 storm.

Netanyahu demands the right to keep fighting as part of a ceasefire deal. That's not a ceasefire, mate.

What's the use in negotiations when one party says their terms are non-negotiable.🤔
  • "Par for the course" for war-monger Netanyahu: indicate a willingness to engage in dialogue - and then on the eve of it, make demands / conditions that of course, the other side won't / can't agree to...

France chooses to go for direction of destruction not rebuilding. But I hope those who still profess their Christian values may regain France from the hands of those lack understanding of their Christian heritage.
