RIP To Neil Peart The Greatest Drummer Of All Time In Rock And Roll History
  • One of their most lyrically potent pieces. When Geddy Lee sings, he has to be more than a vocalist. He has to be something of an actor; conveying Neil Peart's intent. He sings this song with great urgency. The second verse is particularly intense, with the lyrics getting deeply into the unpleasantness of man's uncivilized nature, accompanied by the heaviness of the ascending string section. Incredible work.

The outro to this song is absolutely killer !!

My Rush "Holy Trinity" is Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows and Hold Your Fire. I know they're not their most popular albums, but I can't help but love that they're so melodic.

I'm surprised that I haven't found another Rush fan who says Hold Your Fire is their favorite album. I really love the tracks on it, Mission, Prime Mover, Second Nature, and High Water being my favorites. Their other albums sure have some sick jams on them that I could listen to anytime, but there's something about Hold Your Fire that I really enjoy. Not claiming it's better than their other albums, just personal preference.

GOAT Band! So happy i found the love of my life twice. My wife and Rush. What more in life can you ask for?
  • Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire... the holy trifecta of the most underrated RUSH albums ever.

Maybe Neil didn't want to have a killer instinct, but he certainly had a drumming instinct.... R.I.P. I'm so devastated, after all those days....

For me that's their greatest Music Video. No shitty green screens, cool shots, cool urban images... Long Live to Rush.

This song is one of the ENDLESS demonstrations of Neil Peart's great lyricism. Like he is amazing at it. Nobody else that I can think of writes lyrics that are so thoughtful and complex and simple at the same time. Amazing.
  • God. Alex's solo on this is NASTY! I was absolutely blown away when I first heard this song, this album is truly one of their greatest in my view!
  • As a long time Rush fan i have to say the 80s period is my favorite and this song along with Middletown dreams is one of the best. Amazing lyrics, composition and musicianship. Each song is like a mini  novella.Just breath taking.

a lot of people don't realize that Geddy's heavy use of synthesizers is one of the things that enabled Rush to thrive in the 80's. Rush was always good at keeping up with the times, that's why they went back to the hard rock style when Grunge & Alternative took over in the 90's. RIP NEIL WE WILL MISS YOU FOREVER & EVER 💙
