Martin (aka Wookiemart) does a short demo walk of his new powerloader costume, to an appreciative audience.

(side note: he's well over 6 feet tall, to give some perspective on the size of that thing)

That's a freaking awesome costume. Thanks for posting the video - I came out from Jason Dohring's Q&A to look after he'd done the walk.

Now that's nice! It's difficult to walk in one of those isn't it? Built mine in 1989 with only a few still to go from. There weren't any models to purchase of it back then. Not saying anyone here used models to draft from, but today it is possible. Great work.

Makes for a very tall, powerful costume. Just like yours, possibly taller.

Just wondering if you had possibly considered ever using Dry Waller Stilts instead? I used a set in my rendition (after learning to wear them and walk around in them correctly of course). It made for a very firm foundation to walk on. It protects your lower legs from sudden ankle-platform-shoe syndrome (my term for having the platform shoes fall over, taking your ankle with it) Since you'd only need to revamp the lower legs essentially, is it worth looking at?

now all they need is a queen costume to fight with. who agrees?
