I bought every weird sewing supply product that my daughter and I could find during a late night Amazon scrolling session!! haha We came up with 10! This is an unboxing plus a rate and review of each item. Some were terrible. Some were amazing!!

I added more shopping tags for you guys! Shop savvy! I bought Amazon items and YT doesn't affiliate with them, so I tagged the counterparts that I thought looked to be the same items or equal. Read up on them to be sure it's the same or similar. Also, I added the gel pads tag to it by request. I don't normally promo those because I'm afraid it'll hurt the finish on someone's table, and they'll blame me. My table finish is fine, and it's been a few years.

  • Oh the lipstick pin cushion is so so cool. I will diy it. Thanks.
  • The needle threader (fish) will work much better if you turn it over. The hook should be facing down, not up. Then you can draw the thread under the hook and be able to keep tension on it with your other hand.

I love my led light. Actually brighter than the machine light
  • @Sybil_Detard
For the LED strip, you can create a little "lampshade" out of thin fabric and cover the face of the strip to knock down or alter the light. I did that with a LED sewing light, which had the brightness of the sun all concentrated in a blinding circle, and my little lampshade made something I hated into something I actually use.

In the world of mini everything I couldn’t help but see the little iron as a mini iron from a mini ball. 😂😂😂 cute!😊
  • The foam is only rolling because it was posted rolled. They should have posted it Flat packaged. Roll it up in the opposite way. It should improve 😂💕
  • That lipstick case is the cutest! I HATE needing to por needles out of the tube onto my hand, and i always worry about them getting blunt from shaking around in there. I was planning to add a sponge layer in the lid of my tubes but this is so cute!
  • Great video, loved seeing if all the gadgets were worthwhile. Actually the best tip was the extra boning in the corset kit.
  • I love the little iron only for embroidery and for my grand daughter. I’m teaching her to sew and it’s a perfect size for her!!

I had a similar sewing machine LED light strip and love it! It really makes your sewing area much easier to see.

I have an ancient device from Singer my mother use in the 50s for the full skirts of the era. It operated on the similiar principle as the the laser hem marker. It has a little container with a short tube with a rubber ball attached, like an old spritzer perfume bottle. The container, was set on a vertical ruler with a base, and could slide up and down. It was filled with powered chalk. The skirt was either worn or on a mannikin and turning slowly, you would puff a line of chalk to mark the hem. Never uses it, but it looks nifty with its red paint and Singer logo and the outline of a 50s woman in a full skirt.
  • I like review videos. Thank you I do historical costuming and the " corset kit" puzzled me at first. My idea of a corset kit is a busk, coutil, boning, and maybe eyelets. I liked the lipstIck pin cushion thing a lot, I already have a needle case, but if I didn't, I'd buy it. I have seen really nice mini irons and I think it might be nice to get into tight spaces. The fake fingernail pusher thing is dumb. I have a needle threader from the 70s that came with a sewing machine and it works great, my new machine has a built-in one. You have the fish upside down.
  • @WendysCraftDen
Do you have the material pusher the right way around? I love the iron and the needle case. Xx
  • @shelbme2u
I have the mini iron. I use it for crafts.

Great video...thanks for sharing all these products. I agree with most of your scores. :face-blue-smiling:
  • Wrap the thread around the hook in the little fish. Bring the thread down and back across the top of the hook....maybe? BTW I love and have profited so much from your vids!
