Chester - Philadelphia born and raised upcoming artist Jay Pop emerges into the music industry in a lane of his own. Jay Pop has been an orphan since the age of 1 years old and Pop grew up in the poverty-stricken , violent North Philadelphia area. Having been kicked out of numerous orphanages and foster homes for suspected involvement in gang-related shootings, altercations, felony arrests, and troublesome activity, Jay Pop has spent the better part of his life incarcerated.
Labeling himself the “slum baby” Jay Pop shares his “slum tales” along with the traumatic events of his past experiences.Jay Pop defines and entails what the meaning of “slum baby” is in his music content along with his chilling lyrics that invokes much sadness but much inspiration! The artist uses much melody combined with catchy hooks and unique rhyme patterns to express his painful tragedies along with his glowing triumphs. He projects an aggressive delivery when rapping that creates a unique sound that distinguishes him from others. Being motherless and fatherless child since the age of 1 , Jay Pop aspires to defy all odds stacked against him after recently being released from one of the worst prisons in Florida, late 2020.
