this scene was so goofy but it made me emotional at the same time. the FNAF lore is so full of sadness and despair and pure horror, to see these kids who had their entire lives ripped from them just act like children is just great.

what some people forget sometimes is that they are just kids i think this scene fit perfectly

From what I've seen I love the idea of it, especially because you have to imagine these characters have been so beloved so painting them in this light only to eventually throw a curve ball of them trying to kill Abby works incredibly well in my opinion

I get that this scene was meant to portray the idea that the animatronics are in the end just unfortunate children, but I feel like its placement could have been timed differently and executed differently to give it that impact while still being a sweet moment. The way it was thrown in here just felt kinda goofy and fan-fictiony more than anything Edit: grammar oops

animatronics in game: intimidating, terrifying, deadly animatronics in movie: bunch of goofy goobers
  • So many people seem to forget or not realize that the Animatronics are just children who were sadly killed and this scene shows it. Well yes it comes off as Goofy I just found it heart warming and somewhat sad as I still remember that. Yes later on the Animatronics did try to kill Abby later but as it was explained they kinda forgot their past life and were influenced and tricked by William into thinking that he was their friend but once replaced that picture that shows William being their friend with a picture of him killing them as kids they realized and remember what really happened. Hell even Foxy protected Abby when William wanted to go and kill her for ruining his plans. They were clearly rage and despite William's "You suck" speech it did not stop them from having him be springlocked. Well it is sad that Mike and Abby with Vanessa had to leave as the Pizzeria started to cave in the Animatronics clearly wanted to try and prevent William from hurting again. I do hope they do return in the sequel along with the Toys as I am sure despite hearing the sequel won't be a prequel like FNaF 2 the game was it will be actual sequel. I would still love to see the Toys be in it and since it is an alternate storyline from the games it is not really creating any issues with the Games timeline unless some people try to connect it with the games. Which they shouldn't. But yeah I did not hate this scene at all. Hell Abby drawing the heart for Bonnie and hugging Freddy was just so adorable on meeting them for the first time.

I thought it was a dumb scene at first but I suppose once you learn they’re trying to gain Abby’s trust then it makes sense

I loved the scene, and it definitely added to the story that they are innocent children at their core aside from being dangerous machines. I think they did well to make the audience scared of them and also soft for them since they are victims too.
  • I thought this scene was a great change of pace! Scott has put little moments of humor like this in his works before, so it shouldn't really bother anybody. I was confused by it at first, but then I just decided to enjoy the fun! That is what Freddy's was supposed to be, after all .😊🎉

This scene really shows that they are just kids. I liked it. Left a bad taste in my mouth thinking about the poor children. Perfect. Really needed. People don’t think about it
  • @toxicghost58
I really enjoyed seeing the characters spending quality time and actually bonding with the animatronics. Makes me sad when thinks take a turn for the worst on the 5th night. If they do a sequel, and I know they will, I hope they find some way to rekindle this connection.
  • I think it is a great scene because first, this scene shows that they are just children trapped inside cold, metalic suits that have waited an eternity just to play again, but also when the movie advances you can see that the weren’t as inocent as we thought and they were that playful because they wanted Abby
  • @shumar_girl2024
I really liked this scene, it gave me an uneasy and bittersweet felling when watching it I find that it shows how the animatronics are just unlucky kids who still want to be childish and have fun with Abby
  • It was unexpected but this was a great scene to flesh out the animatronics as the actual kids they are instead of them being mindless murder bots

I’m gonna speak as someone who never watched the movie and this is the closest I’ll probably get for now: I do think it’s a sweet scene that should have happened closer to the beginning. It would have now only shown us how the animatronics are with Vanessa and Mike, people who have different connections to them, but also how they should be with kids. Watching this, then seeing how they act with the people who break in would have reminded us that they’re not too innocent anymore. While they are kids, they’re kids with blood on their hands due to being controlled. It wouldn’t be too different from how some horror games are: start off sweet, then shift to horror.
  • @AnCatalyst
At that moment i went like "wait... isnt that supposed to be a Horror Movie?" I saw awing the whole time xD

People who don't even know Fnaf will say this movie is trash and way too trippy. But for us fans who have seen the lore evolving from silly theories from Fnaf 1 to this massive rabbit hole, this movie truly is Scott's goodbye and his final gift for all Fnaf fans.
