Combat Pilot | A New Flight Simulator to enter the market!

@SimHangerFS Thank you for the coverage! We appreciate it. We soft launched about a year ago. We are currently building our prototype and some great assets to get off the ground. We will release Combat Pilot's Midway themed title in several phases over time. We also continue to build our team and work on our physics, flight models, damage model, geospatial technology, sound and more. We have a long road ahead, but we are dedicated to the cause. Jason was the former CEO of 777 Studios that made Rise of Flight: The First Great Air War and then was the long time Executive Producer of IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles series at 1C Game Studios. He's now teamed up Carlos Flors and his team at Barbedwire Studios (BWS) and their new subsidiary called Entropy.Aero which will be responsible for Combat Pilot development. There is certainly more room for a combat flight sim. I remember microsoft combat simulator. And Comanche...al buckets of fun 🎉

My body is so ready for a Pacific War flight sim. Too many WW2 sims focus overwhelmingly on the fronts with the Germans. I've wanted a career mode (prefferably dynamic) centered on Pacific carrier ops.

Great news. I was a fan of both MS Combat FS, and Il-Stormovik back in the day. I'll certainly give it a try when it comes out

The only thing bad about this sim is that it's in early development and we won't see it for quite a while. I'm anxiously awaiting this one!

Ah, the nostalgia of Combat Flight Simulator 2 just hit me watching this - still remember some of the missions in the F4F (strafing Japanese cargo ships, intercepting Vals, trying to protect TBD Devastators). Actually still have the original game files from the CD's on my backup external drive which I've carried over from hard drive to hard drive since 2003. CD's have gotten lost to time, though. Will most certainly be keeping an eye on this and get back into flight sim if the chance arises.

Instant buy! Finally something resembling the 1942 pacific air war old sim.

This looks very good - it recalls Sierra's Aces of the Pacific and Microprose's Pacific Air War. Early days, but I hope it eventually expands to include USAAF and IJA aircraft. The Ki-84 'Frank' was one of the best fighters of the war, hobbled in the Philippines by poor quality fuel and lack of spares.

Lat time I saw a dogfighting game based on the Pacific Theater of WWII was Sierra’s Aces of the Pacific back in the 90s. I was addicted to that game.

Its a modern day Pacific Fighters in my opinion. Looks very good and vibrant.

Back in the day, one of the first games I bought with saved up pocket money was Aces of the Pacific by Sierra/Dynamix. Four or five stiffy disks if memory serves. So this will definitely be something I'll be checking out once its released. Thanks for sharing.

Could be a great replacment for the previous MS Combat Flight Simulator series. If they eventually release a Battle of Britain version, I would go for it.

What's most exciting is not only the theatre and developers but also the fact we will FINALLY get a new combat flight sim with a modern graphics engine, not an old cobbled together engine that keeps getting new lipstick (DCS, IL2).

I'm a huge WW1 & WW2 flight sim enthusiast. This looks very promising. I hope it's not like War Thunder or any of those other "Arcadey" type games. I love realism. I can't wait to see what they come up with.
