Even if Mio didn't check beforehand, Taichi's bluff gonna be exposed anyway if Mio talk to publisher representatives. I mean, Akihiko is a part timer, so if he's either quit or transferred (since he loved his job, he probably continue working, just not under that idiot), the sales probably gonna drop back and HR gonna investigate the cause.

Mio was really great for having it was Akihiko coming up with the ideas the whole time while Taichi only lied, bluffed, and stole Akihiko's credit for himself. And it was really sweet seeing Mio give Akihiko a better job as her secretary and the two become an adorable loving couple.

“Smell of books” is mold. The main reason ebooks benefit publishers is that many aren’t actually owned by the “purchaser”. They are licensed which is a scam. Also a publisher isn’t going to ask some rando to read the manuscript/galleys without signing an nda/embargo.

It's nice that Mio knew that it was Akihiko was the one coming up with those brilliant ideas and knew that Taichi was lying and serves him right for taking people's hard-earned credit 😒 and it sweet that Akihiko became more than just Mio's secretary in the end when they became a lovely couple.🥰
