Israeli society is obsessed with children. In this video, I will show you an Israeli city where the average number of children per woman is 7.2. I will then touch on the political, historical, and religious aspects behind this high number.

I am Indian. I'm not Jewish. But, once I started watching, I could not stop. Your analysis and presentation skills are really on par.

As a woman who cannot have children and only has one nephew, i can say What a blessing to be surrounded by all those kiddos! My husband and I have always loved kids but it apparently isn't in Gods plan for us. God bless you! ❤

Oren, you're an Israeli national treasure, particularly relevant nowadays, spelling out all the myths, prejudices and ,yes, all lies spread about Israel in such compelling well informed manner that is hard to argue with . you're open, you're fair in your judgement, you're leaving space to the other to counter argue if they can, that is, you really are the finest Israeli example shown to the world. Commendable what you're doing.
  • I've fallen down the rabbit hole of your vids! I'm thrilled to learn all about Israel, something never covered in Canadian schools. Yes, we learned about the Holocaust and met a survivor, but the history, not so much. Please stay safe so we may enjoy your videos for a long time to come.

You should do more commentary, Oren. You bring an honest and grounded insight and nuance that is too often missing from other "experts.

Honestly Oren I truly appreciate your commentary. It isn't enough to visit a country and be a passive viewer but to become part of the community while there and the only way to do that is through understanding the daily life and struggles of the everyday person there

I'm diaspora African in Europe and living in London, in Christian and my husband is Carribean. We went to Israel and I notice how people love kids and how dads are comfortable pushing buggy and very patient when they see kids. I see the Jewish woman has a superwoman, she can have her kids and spend time with her cause the man has her back, because he was brought that way. And I believe everybody has experience with children cause everybody grew up with sibling and helped out, the men when they grow up and have their baby, they don't shy away from the role, and the ladies can be mothers knowing the have someone supportive. In the west some people from non westerner background, are open to the idea of having more kids, but certain things need to be in place, otherwise it is traumatic, especially for the mother. Is all about the society

Love the way you present! 🫶🏻 as a former non-Jewish Chabad employee from Europe, I’m praying for israel everyday! Love your people! And I trust that God will prove Himself in fulfilling all of the old prophecies concerning Israel ❤️
  • Hi! Oren you speak well with a little humor too! I'm an American living in Israel almost 50 years!! Can't believe it myself! My 7 children are married now with families of their own!. We are all considered orthodox Jews& I must reiterate that all of my children have completed their high school education plus their BA (or BSc ) degree. All of them consider Torah learning as the most prominent aspect of their lives....their degrees help them contribute to the working society- as teachers, engineers, nurses, high- tech.,accountants, architects & dayanim--but their personal lives show that they'll encourage Torah observance as superior & the most meaningful in their lives- especially emphasizing this in educating their children. This is the amazing power ofJews as a demographic.

Hi Oren, watching this in November of 2023 and the only not awful thing about the horrors you’re going through right now is that me and probably a lot of others just started educating myself about modern Israel. Especially about the historical and geopolitical situation of course, but I had no idea of i.e. the more everyday live concerning aspect mentioned here and if it was possible now, I’d love to visit your country right away. Love from Germany.
  • @TzvookT
Well Oren, you missed one major point : When European weman were asked in a poll why they don't have kids they answered "self fulfilling". When Israeli weman were asked why so many kids they answered "self fulfilling".

On a slightly different note. I have been a subscriber of yours for some time now as I appreciate your videos on Israel. I am a Jewish guy with no children by the way running my Cherry farm in the high mountains of Cyprus. Due to the fact that Cyprus has a terrible problem with animal welfare and the fact that I have a lot of land I have always rescued and given a home to lost animals. A month ago in a terrible rain storm arrived a beautiful but completly drenched doggie. He is a young Husky Beagle cross and was sheltering under a 200 year old Pine tree so I called him Oren. Your namesake is doing faantastic and is a fully fledged part of the gang.

Waw so much information !! I am a romanian living in Belgium and have 6 siblings . Everyone here is shocked when i tell them about my family , espacially because we are christians ( they always think that i am muslim for some reason ) but my experience in a family with 7 children was awsome , i love my family and you learn many beautiful principles just from being part of a big family ( we were not rich ) . It s a sad thing that "kids are a burden " and not a joy .. because there s no bigger joy then that of a child 🥰 Thanks for sharing , Owen . I watched your videous for years now , they are really interestin . Keep up the good work 😊

This brings to mind Brazil. Traffic stops for children & the elderly. They are so loved & idolized. Thank you very much for your objective & insightful documentary. As a Diaspora Lebanese Maronite pro-Zionist, my best friends are Jewish, through natural affinity & appreciation for history, culture & the arts. Our culture is also children-oriented with lots of parental attachment. Bless you! Keep it up. I'll be sharing too.

I really like and appreciate your honesty and your ability to clearly explain and relate information, and go to the core of the issues even when people don't want to hear or talk about it. You have such a unique perspective that makes people want to learn from you. Thanks for sharing!
  • Thanks Oren, as always appreciate your willingness to explain and offer thoughts and opinions on topics that people shy away from!

I toured Israel in February of 1999. It was the greatest 10 day journey of my life. I am unable to travel, but find your channel allows me to do so vicariously. And I especially love your very thoughtful and fresh insights and world view.
  • @uttarak8428
I am an Indian, and I totally understand and feel what you say, because the similarly about number of children and cost of education, family culture is so close!!
  • You are refreshingly honest and upfront, love it! Btw, I went to Israel and carried your 3 little books everywhere! Keep going, you are the best!
  • @jinks3669
