  • I rather have this cliffhanger than have 10 extra minutes and make miles prowler feel like the villain of the week. so for me this was a great ending and just raises the hype for the next movie.
  • Fun Fact: When Hobie is moving around, taking pieces off of the surrounding machines, he is actually using them to build his very own dimensional watch (the same one he gifts to Gwen later). I didn’t realize this until my second watch because it happens so fast, but you can see him taking the pieces and putting them together. 5:30
  • The ending was just like a comic book. "To be continued." Its fits, and man Miles surely deserve a third arc.
  • I like the theory of Prowler Miles helping save Spidey Miles’ dad. I tragically lost my father when I was young and if an alternate me asked me to help save his dad, I would agree in a heartbeat.
  • I don’t understand why do people not like that ending, it had in the edge of my sit and it let me so hyped for the next one, masterclass of a cliffhanger. Like i had chills
  • At the end, I was like “no one told me this was a part one”

A lot of people miss the part about how Miles' mom, Río argues with the counseler about him being from imigrant family but she is from Puerto Rico and she says it's part of the United States. Yeah that hit home as someone who is always trying to explain to people what and where is Puerto Rico especially in my time in the ARMY.
  • Absolutely gorgeous animation. I was stunned for 2+ hours by the artistry of it.

Uh, I know Peter said he “wanted to be special” like Gwen, but I think it’s obvious he turned himself into the Lizard to get back at Ned, who had been bullying him.

“While others may still question your power, you have the responsibility to keep going” wow that sentence really hit home for me

To me Hobie was the absolute highlight of the movie! At first he's set up as being a romantic rival to Miles since Gwen seems fond of him. And Pavitr only makes this "worse" by asking if Miles knows about Hobie, which makes the audience think that there is more going on between Gwen and Hobie. And then, when we finally meet Hobie, he at first seems a bit dismissive and better knowing towards Miles (but it turns out he was actually giving him genuine advice that Miles uses later= use the palms not just the fingers). Also he's trying to get Miles to think more critically of the spider-society and encouraging him to do his own thing; build your own watch, don't enlist until you know which war you're fighting. And when all the other spider people are turning on Miles, Hobie is the only one who has his back; Jessica: "Hobie you're not helping". Hobie "Good". And when Miles is trapped in Miguel's forcefield, Hobie reminds him of what he told him earlier about using his palms, thus helping him escape. When everyone else is chasing Miles, Hobie is the only one not willing to join them and actually quits the spider society for good. And then he even makes a watch for Gwen so she can assemble a team to save Miles. Hobie truly was the GOAT of the movie!
  • So the Bagel Man becomes the most important villain in Into The Spider Verse? That’s creativity right there. Take notes Disney.
  • I love the cliff hanger ending. I was soo immersed into it that I didn't realize the movie was almost over. This is exactly how I felt with Infinity War.

The whole point, it seems to me, is that being Spider-Man is too difficult a responsibility to have without help. Which is why the spider-peeps do better when they come out to loved ones and work together as a team. What happened in Mumbattan should be the norm. I don't think the dimensions collapsing are because of messed up "canon events", but probably something related to the Spot and timey-wimey shenanigans.

Watching in the UK and when Spider-Punk starting speaking the south London slang I was like oh it’s Black Londoner let’s go! We were all enjoying it. And some of my audience who were Indian they were laughing so much at Paviter spitting the facts. Honestly it was such a fun experience.
  • This movie has already kicked NWH and Spider Verse as my personal favorite movies of all time. I watched this with my mom and she surprisingly enjoyed it. Miles means a lot to me as a black teen. It's because of him that I was first introduced to Spider-Man. But it was his movie that made me discover my love for animation.
  • @Mr-Muyos
Such a dope line during the opening: “…and now he’s all alone, but he’s not the only one…”

I would say that ITSV is a tighter package overall, but this one certainly made improvements. It's more character focused, taking the time to flesh out miles, rio and jefferson, and the relationship they have. I love how so much of what rio was saying to miles was relevant to the rest of the movie. I also love how the movie was riddled with fan-service but it never distracted from the plot and there was so much attention to detail when it came to those elements of the film and just the INCREDIBLE art and animation as a whole. I personally am not bothered by the ending because I'm very comfortable with serialized storytelling in any format, movie or tv and I've known for months that this is a part one. This more than lives up to the original. Excellent movie. Easily the best superhero movie of 2023
  • It would be bold if they open Beyond the Spider-verse with Miles-42’s backstory, I would love to see it. Also, thank you for bringing up how similar Multiverse-Spot looks to the Great Expectations silhouette.
  • I love the amount of respect they gave Gwen's Peter's death it still hurt even though we knew it was coming and it was pretty short
