why do the coolest pokemon also have the shittiest shinies like gengar and garchomp 😭😭😭
  • I remember seeing Ceruledge’s design and was so excited for his shiny. I think I have never been so disappointed in a shiny...
  • Idk how they Made gen 9s shinies awful but Dipplin is incredible. Its a caramel Apple like cmon. And EVEN BETTER. Its signature move animation CHANGES if its shiny. It's perfect.
  • Honestly surprised they didn't swap the colors of Armorouge and Ceruledge for their shiny.

Personally if I could share my ideas for new Shinies for the Starters, I would: -Have the Sprigatito line turn lavender with blue accents, as a reference to catnip flowers. With Meowscarada having some sort of red leaf color scheme. -Have the Fuecoco line turn yellow, like yellow peppers and brass instruments, with red flames. -And the Quaxly line would turn green with yellow accents like on ducks, peacocks, and Brazilian dancers.
  • @tjackknife6590
From the get-go, I wanted Fuecoco to be a light green like a watermelon so I could call it Cocomelon.

2:00 AuraGuardian: “The Quaxly line was the easiest to come up with…..Pink!” 3:46 “Here, I simply added some pink-and viola!” Gym Leader Opal liked this video
  • @GoldGuard
Game Freak: “We need to make shines for the new region, so make them look good,ok?” Also Game Freak: *just changes Ceruledge’s eye color, “Ok that’s good enough I guess”
  • @determineddaaf3
I honestly think the green on Annihilape worked really well, it kind of looks like a cursed pirate or something.

Gen 9 is bar none the worst generation of Shiny Pokémon ever. The game was so rushed even the shinies are broken.
  • @LeahLovesNature
With human beings designing shiny Pokemon, there is no excuse for this little thought being put into them. I really like your fixes, especially the ones for the Tandemaus, Charcadet, Gimmighoul lines, Scovillain, and Paldean Tauros.

I think Gen 9 may have the worst shinies of any generation So many were barely changed
  • @elmsigreen
I am fine with many shinies that other people find ugly. My only gripe is the shines that barely change. That is just unforgivable post-gen 7. Someone actually sat down and decided to just grab either the saturation or brightness sliders, just barely move them and call it a day. I've actually been playing around with fixing shines by taking the original and moving both sliders, along with the hue slider just a little bit more than GameFreak decided to do and many of them end up being really good. Garchomp for example looks great when you just shift it's bluish purple color into being more blue or more purple.
  • Eh, I personally would have made Armarouge more of a medium blue with cyan accent to really drive the mega man reference home, you absolutely nailed Ceruledge though
  • @MishKoz
I was about to comment "ok but Iron Thorns has the only good future paradox shiny" but you already had me covered
  • @Logzzyyy
10:47 Iron Bundles shiny is top tier and simple, it doesn't need changing, its already great.
  • @aidanrichards02
8:23 I think a blue tastugiri shiny could be a nice nod to blue fin tuna. While the fish itself isn’t blue inside, a nice pale blue would look really nice
  • For Gimmighoul, I think the box should reference the Treasure Chests you would get in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. Like making the red part of the box blue and the yellow part silver. It was the first thing I thought of when thinking how to improve the shiny, and it would have been a cool little reference

The only reason for Gholdengo's shiny being terrible is because he's made of golden coins, even his ability is called "good as gold", so a change that i think would work is making him rusty. He would still be made of gold and maybe more noticeable.
