Gant is such an amazing villain. In defeat, he wished all the best for Phoenix and Edgeworth, and those two would wind up, with some help, fixing a dark age of the law.

Definitely the best part of this is the Judge's completely random breakdown.

Has anyone EVER clapped so fast that you clapped like 30 times in 1 second?i doubt so!

I felt this was the most well done case in the entire series so far. You have to look for the simplest contradictions, avoid falling into traps, and plan your moves before you make them. It is kinda the embodiment of the entirety of the Ace Attorney theme.

18:06 "Wait, I'm not the one on TRAIL here!" Ace Attorney sure is known for their typos. It's a good thing their series is amazing.

I love the way Lana does her testimony when she's pressed, linking her previous dialog with the next statement. it makes her seem really cool headed and methodical, like nothing can touch her.

Is no one gonna say anything about how this is the only time in the series where the cross-examination is literally interrupted, right as it begins no less? Not even the sequels had anything like it. That's how you know the game is dead serious. (24:16)

Gant's breakdown is one of my faves. It actually feels like a huge wave of achievement, maybe just because the episode is long, but he was a shitty person so there's that.

For me this was likely the hardest and most tense trial of the original triology. Partly due to Damon Gant being such a powerful and intimidating figure similar to von Karma but mostly since Phoenix needed Edgeworths help during the entire last part. The team-up between those two and the constant attacks from two sides, yet Gant almost eluded them made this so much more impactful.

It is a bit of a shame Gant never got a voiced "Objection!" or "Hold it!"

My favorite case. Absolutely wonderful writing.

26:47 Totally fell for Gant trap at my playthrough. I knew that something bad would happen if i were to show the evidence, but i thought Phoenix would twist the situation, he didn't.

Anyone noticed that after Phoenix proofed that Gant stabbed Marshall and not Ema,his animation looks like Redd White when he was cornered?Especially the hair?
  • 26:47 I showed the evidence on my playthrough and I felt a rush of regret all through my body when i got the game over. I thought phoenix or edgeworth would have a trick up their sleeve. plus I didnt save so I had to do the whole case all over
