Steve Harris just shared important updates about the future of Iron Maiden, the 2025 tour plans, the next album and even the end of the band… which finally uncovers the curtain of what awaits Iron Maiden after The Future Past Tour…

This July Steve Harris had a short touring run with his side project British Lion… you know the band he goes on tour with whenever Iron Maiden are on a break, or even during Iron Maiden’s massive world tours, cuz I guess it’s just never enough for this guy…

But anyways, during his time in Spain with British Lion Steve Harris gave an interview to a local magazine Mariskal Rock in which he answered a bunch of questions, including the one which ended all of the recent speculations among the Iron Maiden fanbase.

Even when Iron Maiden retires, their music will live on forever
  • @DaveTheRipper
Also, Here’s a mindfuck for you: With the boys most likely still together in 2026, the “Brave New World” album will have come out in the first half of their career!
  • I'm dying for Part 4 of the History of Iron Maiden series, you are definitely not alone in that. I'm hoping that if they produce The Future Past tour into a proper concert dvd/streaming that part 4 will be a part of it, if they don't end up doing it for the 50th anniversary🤞Either way I'm always so pleased whenever Steve asserts that they have no immediate plans for retirement, it's obvious that they're all still passionate and joyful about making music and touring so there's no reason why they shouldn't continue as long as that remains true!

The rumours about Iron Maiden retiring has been going on since 2006. I remember speculation about it being their last album. 😂
  • Anybody remember when we thought The Final Frontier was gonna be the last one!? 😅

I guess its more about if Nicko is aible to play the next years, he has the taffest job of all. Bruce can for shure sing 5 more years at that shape as he prooved this year. Lets be thankful for every show the play in the future!

Of course we all want a continuation of any Maiden documentary series
  • If Dianno was approached about any kind of reunion there is no way he would ever be able to keep quiet about it.
  • After Senjutsu - a record I absolutely love - the idea of more Maiden music is exciting to me.

I'd love to see their next album return to shorter, more pure metal songs. I also like their more recent proggier stuff, but overall I prefer the classic sound.
  • Keep the Maiden episodes coming; theyre great! I'd love to see a separate episode about some of the band's side projects (ASAP, Psycho Motel, British Lion) as well.
  • I thought they would never top Brave New World - then along came A Matter Of Life And Death. And somehow Senjutsu tops even that! Still plenty in the tank for Maiden creatively. I can't think of another band that just keeps getting better and better. They are a metal miracle.

Documentary is the second best thing that can happen (besides a new album).
  • It will be a sad day when Maiden decides to hang it up, thankfully that day is not today. Unfortunately there are no current bands that could even come close to filling that spot. I pray for their continued health and anxiously await new music from what I consider the greatest band in human history. Speaking of history, I’ve been clamoring for the next part of that documentary since the last one was released so I’m stoked that’s in the works. Long live Iron Maiden!
  • I remember bruce dickinson said that as long as they are capable of playing live and making albums they will still do it until they die on stage
  • Iron Maiden will never retire! Eddie is Maiden's gift to the world, and iam sure Steve, and the gang have been busy teaching Eddie how to play guitar, plays drums, bass, and keyboards so Eddie can keep making new, and awesome Iron Maiden albums forever! #UpTheIrons \m/ \m/

I hope the the forthcoming documentary; features Paul, Bruce and Blaze sitting together discussing each others songs and how they how they handled them! Up the Irons! 🤘🏻
  • I honestly do like their later prog like albums but I really hope their next album is more in par with their 80's sound, particularly Piece of Mind
