  • Salute to the hard working mothers of the world. Some are single parent, some is the only breadwinner of the family due to an incapacitated husband. Yet they don't get the due respect they so deserved! name me one country were this is not so?

...TRIVIA TIME! ...Donna wrote this tune after seeing a Female Bathroom attendant (asleep against a Wall) at a Grammys ceremony, and wrote the Song on TOILET PAPER, because that was the closest 'paper' to her! ...It appeared on her 'contractual obligation' Album (her 'owed' Album to her previous label), and became a CLASSIC......Donna worked HARD, and THEN some.......

This hit song by Donna Summer was released in the Summer of 1983. It went to #1 on the Billboard R&B chart and #3 on Billboards HOT 100 chart. This song was on MTV on heavy rotation and Donna Summer was the 1st Black Female Artist to have a music video air played on MTV. This song was an anthem for working women. This was Donna Summer's last highest charted song on Billboard Hot 100 and the R&B charts. You should hear the longer version with the 80s instrumentation.
  • So GLAD this iconic video and song are back on YouTube. Thank you.
  • My grandmother loved this song and always asked me to play it when I'd listen to Donna Summer's music. Miss you Mami.

Love, love, love this song. Worked 34 years, sometimes 2 jobs at a time up to 60 hours a week to pay my bills and support myself as a single (happily) for many years. Kudos to all the single ladies doing the same. Good memories. 💗

Glad this has been reuploaded in HD. A classic

This was uploaded last year. Then, it was recently deleted. WTH?
  • At a time when many declared that disco music and its biggest stars were "dead", Donna Summer arrived in 1983 with yet another pop-dance anthem to make it clear that she was more "alive than ever". Furthermore, she left a beautiful message of effort and perseverance to all hard-working women who work hard for their money. Thank you for being there, Donna. Because you will always be present on the dance floor, as well as in our hearts. ❤🕺💃🎵

Why does this video keep disappearing from YT!?! One of Donna’s best videos and the first black female artist to be played on MTV with this song well after her disco days. Millions of comments on other uploads all gone. Still not getting the respect she deserves, sadly. 😑
