Wanted to make a long gear train where all the gears visibly rotate. Using only Lego parts. Restriction: the first gear and the last gear must rotate at the same speed (gear ratio = 1:1). Enjoy!

Motor: *cries for help This guy:"lmao here's another row"
  • @kanamis
I cant stop laughing when he solves a solution to the gears stopping/bouncing out. its the equivalent of bashing your head against the wall until it works i love it
  • My favorite thing about gear trains is that no matter how many idlers you have, the ratio should stay constant

That motor sounds like It’s crying 🤣

At least you're not bending, breaking or shattering pieces this time...

i just find it so funny how every time it fails youre like "well i guess i better turn up the power then"

When the gear number increases, it's incredible how the torque rebound due to inertia impacts the system.

Guiness World Records: Here here just take it please JUST STOP TORTURING THE MOTOR PLEEEEEEEEASE!
  • @acirillo59
If you listen closely, you can hear the motor cry out, "ffrrriiicctionnnnn"

Lego store clerk: "And how many gears did you say?" This guy: "All of them."
  • In a sense this feels like life. As you get more gears you start experiencing more problems that stop the gears from spinning, and more and more care goes into keeping the gears moving. As you age, you start experiencing more problems that stop your organs, bones, blood and muscles from working, and more and more care goes into preventing you from dying

His lego machine: is obviously struggling Him: more pieces

Motor: literally sounding like a deceased heart beat This guy: I'll ignore that
  • Fascinating. It was very neat towards the end to see the motor struggle to spin until the end of the chain neared it's own rotation

Okay now he’s just flexing the amount of gears he has.
  • @EV3Showcase
My man’s just trying to flex how many Lego gears he owns.
