Sharpneck Tales | Dinosaur Comic Dub | Land Before Time Fan Comic

Published 2020-12-02
With comic dubs popping up such as Godzilla KOTM, Twig and Tulip, The Isle, Pixie and Brutus and ... whatever else lurks in the crazy realm of cyberspace, I decided to experiment with a dub based on Land Before Time!  You could consider this a mock-up. Whether I make more or not depends on how much interest people show.

Dagara is part of the 'War Before Time' fanfiction series I write.  "Wait ... War Before What?", no one asks?  Okay, imagine a more intense continuation of Land Before Time. Imagine Littlefoot and the kids are trained in saurian combat by mentors such as The Lone Dinosaur: Watch them grow into mighty warriors who face sharpteeth and creatures from 'Beyond the Mysterious Beyond' linked to 'Stone of Cold Fire'. They're still the dinosaurs we know and love, but with evolving character arcs and relationships.  Imagine Petrie's banished Uncle Pterano returns, reinventing himself in the most awesome way possible.  Imagine I stop spamming the word 'imagine'.  Then I'd say you have an idea of what I'm going for in War Before Time.  Dagara's childhood stories are a little more light-hearted than the main War Before Time plotline, but I thought you guys might be interested in her kinda funny, sorta drama, sometimes intense little misadventures.

Check out 'Mentors of Yesteryears', a prequel that smoothly(?) transitions from Land Before Time's childhood adventures to the War Before Time saga: www.fanfiction.net/s/13516136/1/War-Before-Time-Pa…

Y'know, I'm not sure if I'm happy with Dagara's voice.  I might change it.  What do you think?

By the way, she's an amargasaurus.  I haven't seen many people (if any) use the species in fiction, so I decided to give them some spotlight.  However, I've taken a little creative license with them, however.  As you can see my version of the species sometimes changes colour according to mood.  The fiery 'Battle Blush' is a threat display that usually guarantees that someone will be maimed in short order.  However, Dagara's self-control more often than not averts that outcome.
