Remember Adam, we didn't watch your videos because of the food. We watched it because of you.
  • @tresheureuse
Love you Adam. I wish you u all good things. I am a 70 year old woman. Your channel helped me connect with my 18 year old nephew. That is priceless. Don’t underestimate your positive impact.

I’m delighted, honestly, that we get to keep having you in any capacity at all. Fish tank videos, cooking videos, philosophy videos, Adam-got-drunk-and-has-THINGS-to-say-goddammit videos. I, for one, will take’em all. I enjoy your approach to content in general and how thoughtful you are with topics and research. It’s even calming to me, so I’m happy we all get to keep this mutually beneficial “you post videos, we watch videos, you get money, we get enjoyment” arrangement going for however long it lasts. Best to you on your journey, familiar stranger!

I feel like most of your die-hard fans would know by now that you started making videos to support your family, and you've never hidden any of that from us or acted like a snake-oil salesman. You deserve some tranquility after giving all of us a ton of great, memorable content, basically for free.

Even in his semi-retirement era, Adam remains the king of sponsor transitions
  • @monkeychemist
That was the deepest self-reflection I've ever heard on Youtube. Thank you for opening up and allowing us to think internally. I really appreciate what you've done over the years and will continue to support you because YOU ARE REAL

Thank you for finally making me understand how therapy works! The therapist just being there to support you while you figure out your own thoughts makes a lot of sense. When debugging software, one of the most powerful approaches is trying to explain your problem to someone else. Typically, they won't be able to solve the problem for you, but it forces you to organize your thoughts into a more communicable structure. That is often enough to realize something you didn't really see before, and you typically end up giving yourself advice on the next steps.

I've had a suprisingly recent realization that I've never cooked a recipe from a single one of your videos, even though I have watched all of them (or close enough). You have an amazing personality, and if that personality, whom I've enjoyed watching for all these years, wants to put his sparkle in different fields, I am all for it. This video encapsulated perfectly why we enjoy watching you, the wit, the honestly, the factually and, well, you.

Just because I cannot escape my tiger doesn't mean I can't be happy. For someone who has. Good luck Adam.

"you can just smash that unsubscribe button!" TRUTH! Adam, you're so genuine. Thank you, I look forward to your next videos.

This is why I subscribe for the creator, NOT the content. Half-jokes aside, many of us are not here because we wanted to see food, podcasts, or fish tanks. We are here because we wanted to see Adam. And we will continue to support in whatever ways we can, whatever that ends up looking like.
  • As an 18 year old that has been watching your content for years, i can truly aay that you were one of the examples that i attempted to emulate and take advice from as i undertook the complicated task of crafting my form of masculinity in this modern time. That is a service that not many can claim to have provided in such an amazing way, and for that, thank you. I will watch whatebwr you pump out because it came from YOU. You got me into cooking, and taught me a skill that has already proven itself in service. The reason i really watched this channel, though, is because youre the one that was making the videos. Im sure you wont see this message, but on the off chance that you do, please take this piece with you. On the off chance that i do make something of this life, it will be partly because of your influence. Have a great life my man💪🙂
  • @RIPMrAlwaysFirst
We’ll always support YOU, Adam! You do what’s best for your mental/physical/spiritual health, and I’m all for that!
  • @BereketAbraham
We're all running from tigers, both real and imagined. I'm so proud of you for pausing to take care of yourself and your mental health. Your example will help a lot of people (myself included) take that big step.
  • @nkjoep
Adam, you don’t owe us anything. You’ve already given us the previous interesting content and talks. Thanks for all the fish, and if you want we’ll be here. Cheers ❤️
  • @KK-ef1ow
I experienced the same thing. The second I realized my future was secure financially, I got intense existential dread.
  • @jefffortin7087
Adam, I've watched your videos since your first itteration of the new york pizza when I was in grade 9. Im now in university, your videos have brought me so much joy over the years. It is difficult to convey over youtube messages but I have struggled very much with mental health. Hearing you talk about your struggles with it brought me a sense of empathy. All I, and I'm sure many others that watch your channel, care about is your happiness. It is not about feeling a sense of prejudice because you have what others do not, it is about you being happy. Thank you for sharing, Adam.
  • @EnableGODMODE
Adam mate, we'll be here for when you're ready. Do what you want, life is short. Whatever content you want to create and share with us will be well received and if you do lose a few subs here and there, they will be replaced with subs who appreciate you and you doing what you want and being happy. Much love from Ireland 🇮🇪

I've just gone through my own crisis. The tigers abound. I have three semesters left in a teaching career. I'm limping along and tending to my wounds on the go as best I can. Wish me luck. The cats are on my heels. I'm proud of you, Adam, for taking care of yourself, and for being open about it. The brain is an organ, therefore "mental" health IS physical health. Best of luck in your journey my man.
