Turn Your Drawings into Repeat Pattern Tiles!

Since learning how to make repeat patterns, I’ve gone on to create them for clients like Nickelodeon and GT Bicycles.

When I first learned how to make a seamless pattern with my illustrations it felt like magic. It always seemed super complicated until I discovered how it works. Back then there wasn't an easy way to do it quickly. In this video, I'll show you two easy ways to make a repeatable tile that you can use to make fabric, wallpaper, a background for a website, or anything else you might want a pattern for.

The first technique requires Adobe Photoshop, the second technique uses Adobe Fresco on an iPad.

Also, you can win my iPad case featuring my pattern!

🧙‍♂️love the pacing of the videos and the dry wit. Also super informative. I bought Procreate after being and Adobe CC guys for years. I opened the app once or twice, but by that time I’d already gotten used to Fresco. 🤣🤣
  • I’m new to your channel. I’ve had fresco downloaded on my iPad for months and you are very quickly getting me to convert over from procreate…. Also, I watch your videos all the way through and I play your old streams while I work. You’re chill.

Love it, Chris! Learned something new and totally enjoyed how you filled in the spaces! Yellow fart! 🧙‍♂️Wiz Dropped!
  • 🧙‍♂💨 Good tutorial. I do use the new(ish) built in pattern preview on the desktop version of PS, but the old offset method method results tend to be better. One of these years I'll have to time to really dig in and learn Fresco. Thanks for sharing.
  • Another awesome tutorial! Really liking your channel. Happy you started one. 😍👍 also where did you order your custom iPad case?
