"What's a mega rayquaza", oh nothing special, it's only the strongest pokemon that has ever created, and it was soo busted competitive that he ascended beyond ubers and createad a league of it's own, the "Anything Goes" tier

I love how anything from gen 7 to 9 he’s like “What is THAT????” Throwing the Switch away when things don’t go his way is a classic Alpharad bit

Its base stats are: HP 105 Attack 180 Defense 100 Sp Atk 180 Sp Def 100 Speed 115 Totaling 780 base stat total, tying it for the highest base stat total only matched by Mega MewTwo X and Mega MewTwo Y. To top it all off its ability changes to make flying types lose their weaknesses, effectively making it just a dragon type with flying type benefits.

Everyone saying specifically about Mega Rayquaza, but if you didn't know, Mega was the core gimmick of Gen 6's games (X and Y, and ORAS) where you had a Pokémon holding a specific item, and if you had the Mega Bracelet/Mega Ring/Mega Keystone, then said Pokémon could do a mega evolution boosting its stats and in some cases changing its typing. For example, Mega Charizard X is Fire/Dragon compared to the Fire/Flying typing Charizard normally has. You could only Mega Evolve, once per battle though

"What is Mega Rayquazza?" Mega Rayquazza was so broken, it got unconditionally BANNED FROM UBERS.

In competitive singles pokemon, there are a bunch of different tiers that pokemon are sorted into which represent their viability in play. OU is the default tier, and it's the one which all other tiers are built off of. Pokemon which are banned from OU are sent to the Ubers tier, which is where most legendary pokemon go. Mega Rayquaza was the first Pokemon in HISTORY to ever be banned from the Ubers tier, as the singular Pokemon which was so strong it had to be banned from the tier for banned mons. A few more came years later like Zacian Crowned and Calyrex Shadow, but Mega Rayquaza is well known for being the very first.

I mean this as respectfully as possible, but as a long time pokemon fan, hearing someone ask "whats mega rayquaza" is crazy. Gamefreak essentially took an already great pokemon and said "alright how can be make this as broken as possible". It got banned from the banned pokemon tier.

Alolan Sandslash is Ice/Steel (Alolan Pokemon have different types than the og mons) And Focus BAND has a 10% chance for your pokemon to survive on 1 hp (unlike Focus SASH)

I don't think anyones explained it here for you, so I will. Gen 9 has a gimmick called terrastalizing, which by picks one of a pokemon's types as a tera type, Charizard for example randomly gets tera fire, or tera flying. You can transform your pokemon mid battle to become just its tera type, giving it boosted stab for that type. Through other meabs, you csn actually get any type as a tera type, so your grass/bug leavanny can just decide to be a pure fire type whenever it wants. In game, you get one transformation per battle and have to make that choice in the moment, but Pokerouge seems to just let as many and any pokemon hold the tera orb and be terrastalized right out the gate.

You should play XY as your next nuzlocke, and Sun and Moon after so you can learn more about gimmicks that Pokemon have and everyone loves and hate.
