Dealing with an injury right now and taking a few weeks off. Really feel like I'm struggling - not being out on the road.

I agree with what someone else had mentioned, the On Cloudflow I believe was the main factor the main factor in my plantar fasciitis I developed. Shoes are such an individual specific issue and its hard to say what will and wont work for someone. But I will say I think the Ons are very comfortable and cushioned, but most models do not have much rigidity (you can bend the shoe in half with almost no effort) and this means not much support for your arch so you will be absorbing that rather than the shoe. After a period of recovery I had switched to New Balances models that had more rigidity and have been running longer mileage with more constancy for over a year now with none of the issues I had when wearing several On models.

Oh man, what a timely video (even though I’m 9 months late). I just developed athlete’s foot, plantar faciitis, tendonitis on top of my foot, also a bunion, all in my left foot. I assume it was a combination of increased distance and worn out shoes as the main culprit. The athletes foot came from the pool. Reduced running, stretches and my new Brooks Ghost 14 will be here tomorrow should help. I just reached olympic distances in all disciplines so I need to stay at those distances for a while.

Very helpful I have now figured out what I have

Question! Recently purchased an updated model of a favorite running shoe and have symptoms of tendonitis. Should I consider returning the shoe? Will they break in?

I struggled with a metatarsal stress fracture all of 2020 on and off and no matter how gradually I built up mileage it kept coming back. Started doing 50% of my runs on grass or gravel and it hasn’t been back in 6 weeks and am back to where I was at the start of 2020! Just got to be really careful with it and run EASY. Also found a way to see if it is a stress fracture here is pulling each individual toe back slightly and if it causes pain then it is a stress fracture in the metatarsal
  • I have dull pain top of foot close to ankle, its been two weeks with no running but seems not much improvement. Are there some stretching i could do to speed recovery ?

I've always had aches and pains in my feet and I feel like running takes away the ache. I feel if I did get an injury, I might not know 🙊
