This is one of my most favorite games that I played growing up. It is one of my most nostalgic PC games as well. Hope you enjoy this gameplay of it!

JumpStart Explorers is an educational PC game realesed on June 19, 2001 in the United States. It was also released in Britain on February 8, 2002 with the title Frankie: Time Traveller, in Europe on April 23, 2004 with the title Jump Ahead: Discover History, in Germany (unknown when it was released) with the title Frankie Kleine Entdecker, and in Sweden on August 4, 2004 with the title Lek Och Lär: Tidsresan. It was also given out with Chick-Fil-A kids meals in 2007. The game focuses on history concepts for children ages 5-8.

In this game, CJ Frog and Edison Firefly are enjoying a peaceful rainy day at frog manor when CJ's nephews and nieces: Molly, Polly, Wolly, Tad, Chad and Wart unexpectedly show up. The tadpoles are looking for a fun activity to do with their uncle on a rainy day. After going through the options of games to play, CJ and the tadpoles agree on playing a game of hide and seek. The tadpoles decide to use CJ's time machine to hide throughout different periods of history. It is now up to CJ, Edison and the player to travel throughout history to find CJ's missing nephews and nieces. The player can earn points by doing various fun activities in the locations they visit and redeem the points for stickers, which can be printed out. After finding each missing tadpole, the player also receives a print-out arts and crafts project.

Thanks for watching!

For a long time I thought this was lost media (because I didn't know if it really existed) but it does, so my childhood is saved.😊
  • I just now realized that this game was very educational. I randomly remembered it as a fever dream, but watching it now, it seems to lay a good foundation of geography and history considering it's a game that kids actually enjoyed playing.

The Egypt part was always my favorite. So now every so often, I’ll randomly sing to myself “the pyramids they point up to the sky, let us clap and sing to our glorious young king” I could not for the life of me remember WHY I knew those lyrics. But after doing some digging and coming across this, it’s unlocked some memories 😂
  • I played this game so frequently when I was little. Thank you for this walk down memory lane!

I’ve been trying to find the name of this game for so long - was so happy to find your video!
  • I think this game and Jumpstart Animal Adventures are the most popular Jumpstart games.
  • It sounds crazy but I could've sworn I got this game as a kids toy from Chick-fil-a (they literally used to give out CDs for video games back then lmao). Extremely nostalgic
