Since adopting a hybrid legato kinda style, my 2 note per string pentatonic approach has had to change quite a bit! I've found this kind of things works well to still fire off pseudo EJ/JoBo kind of lick with minimal right hand effort. It doesn't have the grit and attack, but I think itโ€™s still a cool sound in its own right, and maybe will work for you if (like me) you don't have the right hand control of those goats! Let me know if you have any questions or ideas for future videos, thanks for watching!

Man, that tone is killer, dude. Gives me strong Herring vibes, which are the best vibes.

5:10 says he can't play that way, then totally picks it like a boss!!

I am like a hundred years old... I remember the 1st time I listened to EJ, I absolutely loved the sound and phrasing... but, 2 notes per string picking on pentatonics? nope. not for me. So I've been avoiding it for a millennia... (I laugh when I hear people say "you probably started with the pentatonics" - eh no! lol) I think this will definitely help me out! hahaha Thank you dear Sir!

I havenโ€™t been this excited to go home and practice something in a long time. This is so slick and smooth. I remember watching those G3 videos too!!!!

David this was an absolutely spectacular lesson. The notes, the fingering, and especially the timing. So comprehensive. Many thanks.
  • Between this and the latest Cordy video, I have a lot to practice tonight. Thanks, Mr. Beebs!
