PUTIN'S WAR: "That's a scary prediction!" Bombs on Ukraine! And what Viktor Orban has to do with it!

According to Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, at least 20 people were killed in Russian attacks on several cities in Ukraine. More than 50 others were injured, local authorities said on Monday.

Ten dead and 37 injured were reported from the city of Kryvyi Rih alone. The head of the city administration, Olexandr Wilkul, reported a massive Russian missile attack.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Russia had targeted five cities with more than 40 missiles of various types, including a children's hospital in Kiev. It was not immediately known how many people were killed or injured in the hospital. Vsevolod Dorofyeev, an instructor for volunteer paramedics, reported several deaths, but did not provide any further details.

Rescue workers are searching for victims under the rubble of a partially collapsed hospital wing, wrote Zelensky. "It is very important that the world does not remain silent now and that everyone sees what Russia is and what it is doing." The Ochmatdyt children's hospital that was hit is the largest facility of its kind in Ukraine. Reporters from the AP news agency could see that a two-story annex was partially destroyed. In the ten-story main building, windows and doors were torn to shreds. Traces of blood were visible in one room.

Elsewhere in the Ukrainian capital, at least seven people were killed and 25 injured, according to authorities. It was the heaviest bombardment of the Ukrainian capital in four months.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia attacked with ballistic missiles and cruise missiles on Monday. Hypersonic missiles of the Kinzhal type, one of the most advanced Russian weapons, were also used. Such a missile can fly ten times faster than the speed of sound and is therefore difficult to intercept.

Explosions were felt and heard in the capital Kiev. Buildings began to shake. The city administration reported that debris had fallen from the sky in several districts, presumably from intercepted rockets. This had caused fires. Thick smoke rose over several districts.

The Ukrainian presidential office said Russia had attacked at a time when many people were in the streets of Kyiv.

The attack occurred shortly before the NATO summit in Washington, which will also focus on support for Ukraine against Russian aggression troops.
