In my friend's story one of the villains died in a similar way. He was an old man who ruled a space prison in a space government. The rule was simple: The bigger the planet is, the more power the planet has. However, the heroes discovered the governor's real identity: A small sentient planet. Even smaller than Pluto. The villain couldn't believe his eyes. His whole life was a lie. For millenia he had worked for a small planet. He got redeemed when he sacrificed himself to use the last of his power to try to destroy the governor, but failed. However, it wasn't in vain, as he gave the heroes the secret to defeating the villain, having faith and hope that they would save the universe I'm just sharing this because the story was made before I watched 5ds and ZeXal, and I just found them to be similar to my friend's story. Sadly, my friend is no longer with us. He's the reason I started writing stories. I remember watching 5ds with him. We started, but he never finished it. Farewell, my friend.

One of my favourite parallels between 5D's and ZEXAL was how both Aporia and Mizael found the belief to trust in others again and have hope after losing their faith. Both also subsequently died to the final villain because of that faith, but still didn't lose it

God, I love both 5DS and Zexal. Zexal may have had a rough start, and 5DS started to lose steam during the second half, but both were able to make up for it with their incredible endings that really pulled at my heartstrings.

F*ck the haters, playing card games on motorcycles is one of the coolest and most creative anime concepts I've ever seen.

My 2 favorite YGO shows. Don't think I would enjoy YGO as a franchise as much if it wasn't for 5Ds and Zexal. Even the TCG eras of these shows were the most fun I've had with playing the real card game itself. Thank you fxzzy! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Z-One is the greatest YuGiOh villain. He is the Obito of 5ds.
  • I personally prefer Aporia's end because we all know that deep down this hurt Z-0ne a lot, but he still had to show resolve in his decision in order to tell 5D's that his way of changing the future is the only way humanity could be saved while also sending a message that the only way to prove his idea wrong is to be directly challenged for it. It really does confirm that Z-0ne is a man that no longer has the time to simply be reasoned with considering he was very near the end of his own lifespan, and that sacrificing what little remained of his friends even if they were clones/androids was something he knew he eventually needed to do if it meant making sure that a humanity ending catastrophe would be avoided.. I also think Paradox, Antimony, and Aporia all knew that too, but when their copies met 5Ds (as well as Atem and Judai in Paradox's case) and lost to them, their change of heart knowing that Yusei will be the one who can prevent the future hurt Z-0ne because he also knew deep down Yusei would be the only one who will lead humanity, and so before what remained of Aporia died.. he just wanted to show his friend that the future will have a good ending, but Z-0ne needed to see it for himself by forcing Yusei to go 110% of his potential.. All of their relationships were so multi-layered and planned out perfectly for what screen time they had in the anime.. (To be honest it was the Duellinks events that made me realize how important they truly were to each other..) With Mizael.. sure it is pretty upsetting that at the end he finally realised that Don Thousand was just an entity who didn't give two s**ts about the amount of damage he caused others in his conquest for complete control and domination.. He was created to be a pure evil villain with a simple goal and no depth other than simply the ultimate big bad for the Zexal universe.. There's really not much more I can say about him since he was just simply a brainwasher and manipulater who just waited until his opportunity to come back arrived.. Mizael's end definitely help pave the way for victory, but besides affecting Nasche and Yuma because Nasche was a long time friend of his, and Yuma believing that everyone has the capability of redeeming themselves and becoming friends.. it was a sacrifice to simply help take down Don Thousand..
