Speaking as a girl, honestly the most important thing is to figure out if the girl is even interested in talking to you. Trust me, many girls are either not interested in dating at all, parents don't allow them, either they don't like you etc etc. So it's better to only get to know her for a while and observe whether she would be willing, otherwise you would be wasting your time. Also sidenote but boys please don't doubt your self worth because one girl rejected you and please please don't approach a girl who already said no. Hope this helps
