I turned 21 in 83’. I remember mostly the dancing in clubs and the fun we had there and after, when the clubs descended on Hofs Hut. Omg, what a blast! I just wish I remembered more of the 80’s; I’ve seemed to have forgotten most of that decade. 🤷♀️. 💟☮️

OMG, I remember how vacant the city was in the 80's, compared to today. All these years I thought it was my mind's eye playing tricks on me, but this confirms my memory as a kid in the 80's, as valid! Love the woman bumming a smoke btw! Classic NY'er persona then 😋

I am not from the United States, but I can see a completely different place and at the same time more captivating, with more darkness and more space to walk. It generates a lot of curiosity to see how people had fun with discos, prostitution and strip clubs, a more fun and energetic city is perceived. I wanted to see New York, but when I saw Nelson's videos my desire vanished. Nelson, these videos are great, I love the 80s, thanks for filming the mythical and legendary new york of the 80s.
